It was still early but not sleeping next to the swordsman for once made it fairly easy to get up and start on breakfast preparations early. He was completely unaware of what was going on in his galley already and to be honest, he had forgotten about today being his birthday altogether.
He has had a conversation about it with his fiancĂŠ before and he doubted that itâd ever be brought up again. Then again one of his previous birthday gifts was what had brought them closer together.
The closer he got to the galley, the more obvious it became that someone was up before him. For a second he thought it was Robin because he could smell the coffee that was being prepared and she was the first he had to tend to every morning but when he opened the door and turned the lights on he was greeted by the man he was going to spend the rest of his life with.
â Coffee? But Christmas was a few months ago. â
âLetâs just say I was in a generous mood.âÂ
Casually he poured the pot over the paper filter in hopes he didnât accidentally leave a large amount of grounds. He certainly wasnât a professional when it came to brewing coffee from the stand, but he wasnât inept.Â
âI wanted to make sure you got a great start to your morning. I would have tried to do more but thought I shouldnât mess your kitchen up.âÂ
He picked up the cup and brought it over to in hopes of waking the lazy looking blond up and starting off right.Â
