The world has always fascinated me; nature in particular. Everything makes me wonder. Everything makes me dream.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in the Arctic - with the woods, the mountains and the sea as my best friends. The warmer part of the year was spent berry picking, hiking, camping, cycling, fishing and playing football in the midnight sun. The colder part of the year was spent cross-country skiing, playing in the snow, showing snow, watching the Aurora Borealis and crouched up in the corner between the wall and the fireplace.

I was always told the magic would disappear when I grew up. Granted, some of it did. But not all. Not everything. I am still as enchanted by the wild as I was as a youngster; still amazed and enthralled by the soft and bitter beauty one can find on one’s doorstep.

So many things are magical to me. Photography has then become one way of eternalising these moments.

My photography is merely a scarce selection of the wonders I have seen; most of which are - in fact - small, but magical moments from my everyday life. The most beautiful and life-changing moments only exists as memories. And as they should.

Big Changes

When I first created mypinkpassport, my goal was for this to be a personal travel blog filled with my experiences and adventures of traveling the world.

Instead, it’s turning into a blog of curated travel pictures and posts.

I love curated blogs. I love the dose of inspiration it provides. 

However that’s not what I wanted this blog to become.

So there are going to be some major changes happening here. 

I’ve made a decision to begin traveling within the next 2-3 months.

My destination? The world. 

And you guys are welcomed to come along for the ride! 

In the meantime, I will be discussing everything that I’m doing to prepare for my travels: books I will be reading, what to pack (and what to leave at home), tips that I discover along the way and my personal thoughts.

And while the main focus of this blog will be my personal travels, I still plan on including travel photos.

I can’t wait to begin, this is going to be one hell of an adventure.
