This concept is really interesting
This really makes me rethink the characters decisions. Usually these women are depicted as stupid, vain, or selfish. But I sympathize with them way more when their options written this way

imagine if all our jobs actually mattered n were essential cogs of our community instead of so many being fake shitty jobs made to tryn uphold unimportant things2 create profit for rich ppl. imagine how less soul sucking everything wud b if u knew every job we all did mattered and helped th community instead of so often being pointless :/

It’s bigger than all of that. It’s bigger than thoughts, it’s bigger than time. They’re coming after me. They’re coming after me. Horse Girl (2020)
“Woman?” She chuckled. “Is that meant to insult me? I would return the slap, if I took you for a man.”

I’m voting for Bernie but I hate this lol why are we using the same (misogynistic, outdated) methods as Trump supporters? I’m getting war flashbacks to old anti-suffragette propaganda ads saying “only ugly girls want to vote”… how have we evolved so little as a society between then and now that we’re still using tactics like “hot girls vote for x”? Like I get it, they’re trying to parody the Trumpies, it’s supposed to be tongue in cheek (I think??? I hope)… but the end result is still the same and still perpetuates misogyny and it just depresses me, we should do better. How about “smart girls vote for Bernie” or “girls who don’t want to die in the street due to lack of access to medical care vote for Bernie”??? kjdhdfjhg
This reminds me of when young women used to post pics of themselves all dolled up saying something like “this is what feminists look like!”. As if to say “we aren’t all fat ugly hairy dykes! Pretty girls can be feminists too!” Idk. I don’t feel like we have to justify our political actions with: “but don’t worry we’re still hot. hot girls can be into politics too!!!” Women’s looks don’t have to be part of the equation at all.
