A moment at #roundpond Sat on a bench. A pool of water dotted with the view of swans rear ends as they reach under water for food. Dodging the missiles from passing ducks. Sat on a bench. Me on one end, an older Asian woman on the other. Both looking at the same view. I feel we have some sort of connection even though we haven't said a word to each other. Watching the ducks of various sizes and colours going about their business: feeding, preening or simply floating. A couple of black ones floating together. A larger group following each other around and the swans lazily grazing. The Asian woman goes. I feel a sense of loss momentarily until the space is occupied by a western man, and so the whole thing goes on. The ones that go around in pairs are particuarly cute but I'm rooting for the singletons. I think a fly has found it's way into my ear. Apart from that it's pretty nice. X
