PERSONALITY
Luke is the kind of person who makes things feel easier just by being there. He’s warm and dependable, the type of guy who remembers how you take your coffee and who never forgets a birthday. He has a quiet kind of charm and an easy sense of humor. Luke is calm under pressure and always the first one to lend a helping hand. He isn’t necessarily stubborn, but he also doesn’t usually volunteer how he’s feeling unless someone really takes the time to ask.
BACKGROUND / BIO

Luke grew up in Merrock, the kind of kid who knew how to patch up a skinned knee before he was ten and who spent more time outside than in. He was the dependable one among his friends, the guy who would help dig out a neighbor’s truck after a storm or sneak an extra sandwich into a classmate’s locker if they didn’t have lunch that day. From early on, he knew he wanted to do something that mattered, something that helped, which eventually led him into medicine.
He left Merrock for college and medical school, spending nearly a decade away between undergrad, clinical rotations, and ER residencies. He could have stayed in the city, but deep down he always knew he would come back. Merrock was home. The people, the pace, the stillness of the mornings — he missed all of it.
Since he’s been back in town, Luke works as an attending ER doctor at Merrock Hospital. He lives on a quiet stretch of land on the countryside with his golden retriever Moose and an old pickup truck he refuses to replace. Most nights you’ll find him winding down with a cup of tea (yes, tea; he will die on that hill), walking Moose along the coast, or fixing something around the house he swears was just about to break anyway.
FUN FACTS
Loves tea so much he travels with his own stash of loose-leaf blends, and he has very strong opinions about proper steep time.
Keeps Moose’s old puppy collar in the glovebox of his truck for good luck (and because he’s a softie).
Has a terrible habit of skipping meals during long shifts and pretending he’s “fine” with just black tea and mints.
Knows how to play piano but hasn’t touched one in years. The last time was at his childhood house before his parents sold it.
Keeps a growing collection of thank-you notes from patients tucked into a drawer at home, but he’s never read them more than once.
Will do anything to avoid being the center of attention, even on his birthday. (He once faked being on call to skip a party.)
Learned to cook because he hated hospital vending machine food, but now genuinely enjoys it — especially Sunday breakfasts.
Refuses to use dating apps. Says it’s because he’s "too busy," but it’s more about wanting something real to start in person.
