The trumpet shaped, bright colored flowers meant justice and victory. Gentians are mostly used as an emblem or symbol of different countries, cities or even organizations.

Commonly known as a medicinal plant, gentian is widely used to aid digestive problems. It is widely used as a flavoring/coloring agent in food and beverage.

Day 7 Prompt: Lily of the Valley

Imported from Japan in the middle ages, lily of the valley signifies good luck and happiness. They are poisonous flowers that can cause pain and skin rashes when ingested. The bell shaped flowers became a symbol of good luck and serenity because it is a belief that the little bells can call good spirits.

Day 6 Prompt: Edelweiss

Edelweiss flowers symbolize deep love and devotion. In German language, its literal translation is noble and white. Edelweiss flowers originally grew along remote habitations with deep steeps and fatal climbs; mostly trekked to prove love and utmost devotion.

Snow flower is the most common name attributed to edelweiss and it is also a token of love in its entirety.

In weddings, it symbolizes love, loyalty and happiness.
