"I never meant to! I’m sorry, please continue."
"Nope, it's ruined now." She typed into the phone, pouting as it spoke.
"This is rigged," the Witch stamped a boot, probably teasing. Possibly not.
"Time—that’s not my answer!—give me a mo…ment—A FAMILY. That has to be it. Mum and dad separate - custody, broken. Bam! Persons of course can be held, but a unit of people cannot be held, not in one place nor physically grasped when all together.”
Lyra grinned at his frustration. "Do you want me to tell you? Because all of those were wrong."
"Lucky guess," ve answered, curious at being spoken to using a phone. "What’s this?"
Lyra shrugged, before facing her phone and typing once more. "I'm a mute. You know, shitty vocal cords."
"Hmm. Fair enough." Jasper wasn’t overly fond of electronics. He’s frumpy like that.
"My next answer is: the rules. ‘Think I just broke your little game, Brooke.”
Lyra crossed her arms and arched a brow at him, obviously waiting for his next idea. She wasn't going to give up on this quickly.
"The heart?"
"That, too. You people just keep ruining all of my fun, don't you?"
"… a heart?"
Lyra frowned at him, rolling her eyes subtly. "Not what I was looking for, but I guess it works."
”Emotion. Spirit. Very easily morphed, but NEVER tangible.”
"No. Well, yeah.. but that wasn't the answer I was looking for." She grinned as the device in her hand spoke aloud.
"A promise?"
"Aw damn it. That's no fun. How did you know?" She typed into her phone, before pressing the speaker button and frowning as it spoke for her.
"What gets broken without being held?"
Thais couldn’t believe her eyes, let alone her ears after hearing Lyra’s reply. This was weird, even if she already knew Lyra was weird in her own way—she’s a Crow after all and they do have their odd perks. It just didn’t make any sense why she’d have this much affection towards and object such as a sink. “What the fuck twerp? It’s just a sink.” she replies in disbelief.
Lyra narrowed her eyes in annoyance at Thais comment. "It's MY sink." She typed, although the difference in her spelling didn't make any difference when it was being spoken. How dare she question their love?
"Oh…" he mumbled, taking a step closer with a slight nod but also holding his camera even closer. He looked between Lyra and the sink with a bit of a smile. "How long have you two been together?"
"About ten minutes." Lyra typed into her phone, once more visibly annoyed by the interruption, before turning her attention back to the object immediately.
Entering the washroom, Thais notices Lyra near the sink, giving her a quick wave before going about her business. After a few minutes, she came out of the stall and washed her hands, turning her attention to Lyra and eyeing her oddly. “What the fuck are you doing to the sink?” she asks in bewilderment.
Lyra frowned at being disturbed, yet pulled her phone out of her pocket and typing. "I'm showing my love for it. Isn't it just beautiful?" The phone spoke for her as her fingertips began tracing patterns on the sink carefully.
Joshua held his camera carefully, brushing it now and then so not even a speck of dust stuck to it. As he back into a room, he looked toward the girl that was caressing the sink much like he was caressing his camera. “What are you doing?” he asked her, as if he was not the one whose thoughts were currently revolving around how perfect his camera was and how no harm should ever come to it.
Lyra glared at Joshua, not even wanting to take her hands off of the sink for the brief moment of pulling his phone out of her pocket, yet doing it nonetheless. "Showing affection." She typed simply, before scooting closer to the sink and reaching out to touch the cool porcelain once more.
Lyra ran her hand over the smooth side of the sink, caressing it gently as a fond smile spread over her face. This was the best sink she had ever seen, love at first sight.
"Oh, please don’t!" She pretended to be scared, eyes widening as she cowered playfully. "You’ll have to show me some of your moves so I can protect myself with more than just my airbending."
Lyra grinned, performing yet another rather dorky looking imitation of a ninja move, whilst typing. "You know, that might be a good idea. But then again I wouldn't want to hurt you in the process. You know, with my talent and all."
Bathroom Mishap || Lyra and Al
“And you’re sure you are alright? Because flesh is not meant to be stronger than metal.” Al implored, a soft smile on her face. She wondered if this girl was a werewolf, she had head that they had enhanced strength. And more interestingly, Al realized that breaking things had to have been a common occurrence if professors had grown used to it.
“That’s a bold statement!” Al exclaimed, laughing lightly, “I like to think that I am pretty awesome myself. I think we are going to be friends, Lyra.” Al made this statement boldly, as if she could imagine nothing less than a friendship with this girl who broke bathtub faucets and spoke with a phone.
"Yeah. I'll be fine." Lyra smiled, wanting to keep her toe - broken or not - to herself. The last time she had spoken to doctors they had annonced that she would most likely never be able to speak again. Now, she had yet to experience the way Whitelighters worked, or any other type of medical involved people for the matter, but in her mind they were all useless. And they scared her.
Lyra laughed silently to herself. "I think we will be friends too, Al. Which house are you in?" She questioned, at least the standard ones had to be asked to get to know this girl a bit better.
"——-I guess if you had a really slim toe, it would fit.." Honestly, she’s never really thought about it before. "But I think you’d know if it was broken."
"Yeah..." Lyra typed, smiling at the brunette, before shrugging the topic off. "It'll heal."
