Iā¦tend to get a bit too deep into my research sometimes, especially when it comes to history and historical accuracy. Like, Iāll accidentally find an old German porcelain company thatās still around today (itās Rosenthal btw) so that even the dinnerware is historical. Same extends to cosmetics, hair care, and skincare.
I did a lot of researching and looking up for East Germany and I think I am only sharing this because the hair care brand Oleplex recently got acquired by the German corporation Henkel (the corporation that own DIAL), which has existed since the late 19th century. East Germany also had their own fashion magazine named Sibylle and it helped me in the beginning when creating GDRās wardrobe and I still draw inspiration from it from the little pictures I can find online whenever I am flat out of inspiration of what I want to draw her in.
Beiersdorf is also a major corporation that offers history about their brands and owns brands with varying levels of influence in cosmetics such as NIVEA, Coppertone (the sunscreen company), Aquaphor, Eucerin, and Florena (which was East Germanyās version of NIVEA, I think).
I think if this post told you anything, it is that I am very detail oriented. There is usually so much packed into a one shot I do, or a scene I plan out in my mind, or something I draw that it sends me down rabbit holes where I ultimately come to the same conclusion: āwow. This is cool.ā And āOof, this is a small world.ā
The yellow on his face is actually makeup and face paint. His body is actually fully red but he paints it yellow for public appearances.
his favorite child is San Marino, however his favoritism of his second youngest child is clouded by the fact that he kidnapped adopted the young nation when Rome was waining. San Marino also hates Rome for what he did to Christians for a LONG time. (Side note: San Marino thinks Byzantine, the truly youngest child of Rome, is unnerving. Most of the family thinks that, especially after Byzantineās scuffles with the Caliphates made him wear a mask.)
the only child of Rome that doesnāt hate him is Roman Britain, who is always yearning for his fathers attention and love but Rome considers him an the isles a sore.
as he grew old, he became more distant to his family, especially to his wife Sabine (personification of the Sabines). He eventually isolated her in her own wing of the palace where she would die. It is unknown whether he did this on purpose or not.
He was raised by his mother Latium and only heard some stories about his father Troy/Wilusa. He eventually commissioned his own story about his father to try to resolve his missing father problems (the Aeneid)
He is half land/continent because Latium is a personification of an area of land while Troy is a personification of a nation. This makes him have a lot of power.
as an example of his powers: he can turn into a humongous red wolf. Sometimes, he even becomes wolf like. Land and continent personifications excel at shape shifting and that gene was passed onto Rome from Latium.
their younger appearances are from a one-shot I wrote where Prussia goes to a fictionalized Aachen. I have not released the one shot despite it being done.

So you mentioned āPrus, who from your words a sorta original character but he is inspired by the tale of the princes of Vladimir.
I'm wondering what exactly you mean by sorta? And about his name... he is named well 'prus and he also has a human name like the countries has, does 'prus like represent the Prussia region? I got this idea because of well other regions are personificated

I think I tried to take the Princes of Vladimir Prus, take his mainā¦concept (familial relations with Roman emperor and connection to Prussians), and insert it into my lore in a way. I did change a lot because my Prus has no connections to Rurik or Ukraine whatsoever. While he is a brother of Augustus in the tale, the Prus I have created is the son of Rome.
Prus is also the most human and doesnāt stay in one place (something his son, the Teutonic Knights, would soon adopt) unlike his later descendants who mostly stay in their borders unless thereās a war going on. I donāt think I have any other influences for my Prus character. He was supposed to be more antagonistic before a rewrite.
Old Prussia also has no connection to him whatsoever. The geographical region has a mind of their own.. like most geographical regions in my headcanon/au.
Iām trying to write a one-shot of USA taking his nephew, a young Weimar, to the 1900 worldās fair in France for some bonding time and for Weimar to get out of Germany for a while. Itās supposed to set up Weimar and USAās bond and also foreshadow Weimarās future as he looks up to his uncle a lot and aspires to be like him, sometimes in the worst waysā¦
if youāre wondering how Weimar and USA could possibly be related, Weimarās grandmother in my headcanon/au is Hanover, who is USAās mother. Itās a total mess.

Prussia eventually cut his hair after the Franco-Prussian war. He eventually stopped dying his hair black too, roughly post-WWI.

Rome is a major figure in three stories Iām attempting to write somewhere in the future: American Estate, Journey into the Ashen, and Fall of Rome. Because he likes to mess with and torture his descendants (more specifically Russia and Prussia)
Heās more important in Fall of Rome, which I feel like I should explain.
disclaimer: future plotpoints and me blabbing:
Fall of Rome takes place before 301 A.D. from the perspective of San Marino. The Story is planned to be a horror (not quite but if itās from the perspective of a 12 year old boy whoās seen firsthand the persecutions of Christians, itās a bit horror-ish) political-drama short story set in the palace of Domitian. The characters in it are Rome, San Marino, āPrus (a sorta original character but he is inspired by the tale of the princes of Vladimir.), Sabine, the praetorian guard, Hellas, the visigoths, and though not seen, the Gallic empire and sub-Roman Britian will be mentioned.
There is a planned scene or comic I want to draw/write where San Marino joins a bathing pool with āPrus and Rome and when Rome attempts to start conversation about something, āPrus (due to his differing perspectives and experiences), argues with him on a political stance and lashes out. The father and son get into an argument that leads to Rome leaving the baths after he overheats it with his fire/magma-hair (an idea I had for Byzantine that would transfer onto his offspring and family line beforehand so I decided to make it genetic. Also Troyās design has magma-fire hair in a sorta reference to the destruction of Troy so it makes sorta sense (or the genetic skipped a generation))
Rome is fixated on family, upon heirs, but he sets too high expectations and expects them to be bold individuals with outstanding abilities and achievements but at the same time completely subservient to him. At the time of the short story, Rome is rotting. He is old and aging and him adopting San Marino is both him trying to relive some of his younger years he had when he was raising āPrus with Sabine (btw Sub-Roman Britian and āPrus are Sabine and Romeās sons) and also trying to find a good heir because despite most of his childrenās utter devotion to their father (except the Gallic empire but sheās the other adopted child) ROME ABSOLUTELY HATES THEM. He considers āPrus a coward for empathizing with the everyday solider, the Gallic empire a too emotional for weeping over her dead dad who Rome killed, Sub-Roman Britian weak for his many issues with the Celtic tribes (but gives him a leniency once he couldnāt even really defeat them) , and Byzantine hasnāt even been born yet! (Rome just saw him as a āfinal heirā and a means to an end and was an incredibly neglectful father. I feel like āPrus would possibly take care of Byzantine and San Marino in their young years of adoption or life.)
Rome dismisses Sub-Roman Britain and the Gallic Empire as his āproblem childrenā or āfailuresā and āPrus, being too scared to argue with his father, agrees. In an old draft where āPrus was more malicious and evil, he said something along the lines of liking when the Gallic Empire cried but that was before I decided to overhaul his character.
San Marino is his favorite son an unfortunately (for Rome), San Marino is utterly TERRIFIED of him due to Romeās prosecution of Christians.
Rome is also a bad father and husband. Because heās so old, heās just stopped doing certain things or when he does again, itās only for a period of time before he stops yet again. He neglects his wife Sabine and she becomes somewhat like a spirit, just haunting her side of the palace and staying in her room most days. San Marino only finds out about her existence and survival because he stumbles upon her while exploring after āPrus and Rome burst into ANOTHER argument over dinner.
oh and did I mention he can turn into a huge red wolf about the size of the coliseum?
he eventually dies from blood loss in San Marinoās territory in the woods due to a stab wound from āPrusās blade (Visigoth made him do it). āIn the Woods Somewhereā by Hozier fits his death. Also Rome emotionally manipulates San Marino into helping him from his death (āCāmon Marinus, * cough cough * wonāt you help your dear father?ā to giving Romeās jewel to HRE.
Heās a multi-faceted complicated evil dude stuck in his own pendant currently torturing Russia as of the present day (American Estate and Journey through the Ashen).
because I have a book that contains every character in the Bible in alphabetical order, I could make a side blog or a series on this blog attempting to draw every character. Thoughts?

Saxe-Eisenach was basically stuck in his quarters during that time and not allowed to go outside his quarters. There was constant bickering between Altenburg, Weimar, and Coburg (whom he has a relation to I have no decided yet) . He eventually married Saxe-Weimar due to historical personal union and he wanted to get Altenburg off his back because I ended up making the family tree look like this and I donāt even know if itās correct because the saxons are complicated with their unions and families and titles.
Eisenach logic: āAltenburg canāt do anything by to me if Iām his step-dad even though the only thing he did to me was take some land and sit on my throne once.ā
Eisenach was the quiet one everyone made fun of and his relationship drama with his wife didnāt help. He bonded with Hanover because both originated from a town (the town of Eisenach and the city of Hanover respectively).

For the second question: unfortunately I do not have another place online where I write down more of my Countryhumans universe, I am trying my best to write a Holy Roman Empire lore document with HREās lore and all of the different duchies, counties, etc.
I am also in the process of writing a fanfiction called āAmerican Estateā, which will have both a prequel (called āthe serpent and the eagleā) and a sequel (called āthe journey through the ashenā) to it.
Though I would enjoy a Nathan time travel fic where Nathan son of Bathsheba & Nathan the prophet are the same person and Nathan was doing some time travel shenanigans in order for something to go right so he has to disguise himself as a prophet in order to do his self-imposed duty done.
it also gives plenty of angst potential because he will see himself be born, named after him, grow up (along with Bathshebaās other children), and possibly other opportunities exploring the dread of the passage of time.
