The water covered a structure that Lumine didn't recognize.
He followed those coordinates from the fallen diamond here.
He still had the strange gem in his hand, gripping it. Should he even be up and walking after being damaged like that? No.
Was he even in his right mind to keep going? No. He knew that but something invisible was pulling him. Telling him to look for someone.
Half of these metallic structures were submerged. What remained above the waters surface was warm and shiny in the fading light from the setting sun. It was something of an ancient and crashed sky base, having long been left behind here, as it had become a natural reef. Gave sea creatures places to live, and hide, so removing or cleaning it up would do more harm than good.
At least, that was an excuse given.
As Lumine stood among the solid steel plating above the water, and final light rays faded, there was a feminine laugh above. Sitting high up on an ancient radio arm, was a robotic figure with darkened armor. And only a fraction of face showing. Grey skin, black eyes with glowing white iris, the metals and synth-skin made of materials not of this earth. But it didn't have a real core. No, it had a signal going to it-
The Simulacrum. A puppet, a communication device, for the real thing behind it. Where ever that may be.
"You made it, little space dust~. The brightest flicker you gave, such a bold move. And amusing... Calling out to the stars like this, to something like me to hear such a sweet swan song of desperation. Why... It brought a gleam of amusement. Congratulations. You have my attention."
The expression turned amused. This robotic entity slowly stepping off where it sat, and floated easily through the air without so much as an energy fluctuation.
