Walk the Gray Line
Oops for poofing for a bit, but stay tuned because I'm brainstorming that Resident Evil and Fallout AU's I've ben hankering to do!
Hey ya'll, so giving it some thought, I've made the decision that I won't write against folks who use Zoe Kravitz as a FC. Here's why.
𝚅𝙰𝚁𝙸𝙾𝚄𝚂 " 𝙲𝙾𝙽𝙵𝚁𝙾𝙽𝚃𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 " 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙴𝚁𝚂!
below is a list of starters from both sides of the conversation , with prompts geared toward scenes involving some sort of confrontation. prompts rage from friendly to not so friendly. please consider following for more prompts and please do not steal!
❛ i can't believe you hid this from me. ❜
❛ that's it. we need to talk about this. right here. right now. ❜
❛ don't see how we can get around talking about this anymore. ❜
❛ you can't just keep avoiding me! ❜
❛ i'm not leaving until we talk about this. ❜
❛ come on just . . . talk to me. ❜
❛ all this time . . . and it was all a lie? ❜
❛ i trusted you. ❜
❛ did you think i wasn't going to notice? ❜
❛ start talking. now. ❜
❛ when are you going to stop lying to me? ❜
❛ i just wanna talk. ❜
❛ can we talk about this? please? ❜
❛ i came to talk this out. ❜
❛ you and i can work this thing out. ❜
❛ enough lies. tell me the truth! ❜
❛ i just wanna know what happened. ❜
❛ you can tell me. ❜
❛ just . . . start from the beginning. ❜
❛ are we gonna talk about this like grownups? ❜
❛ can you just be an adult about this for once?! ❜
❛ i didn't think it was gonna be so hard to talk about it. ❜
❛ i don't wanna talk about it. ❜
❛ i said leave it alone! ❜
❛ it's not that simple. ❜
❛ can we just . . . not talk about this right now? ❜
❛ i didn't want to see you get hurt. ❜
❛ okay fine. you wanna talk about it? here it is , ❜
❛ i kinda hoped you would just ignore it. ❜
❛ okay , fine just . . promise you won't get mad. ❜
❛ i don't wanna lie to you. ❜
❛ i wish it were that simple. ❜
❛ we passed the talking stage a long time ago. ❜
❛ the truth is more painful. ❜
❛ the beginnings , still a little hazy. ❜
❛ stop saying i'm not taking this seriously! ❜
Wow, hello Cyberpunk 2077 Lina, anyone?
Natalie Martinez
Born in roughly 2050, the child of a Cuban and Italian family steeped in Night City's criminal underbelly, including connections to Dog Town where she and her younger sister were born. Conceived to an uncertain future, much of what Selina and her younger sister, Maggie, knew was a harsh life on the streets. Rarely remaining in one place for long due to her parents always having a heat-seeking target on their backs, Selina was used to chaos. So it stayed until she was a preteen and was orphaned, losing contact with her younger sister she thought died in a sting that took out her parents. Taking to the streets due to orphanages with no room, Selina was used to fending to herself, gradually developing skills with street-fighting. As a teen proper, she was taken in by a martial arts master known as the Armless Master in Japantown, picking up keen martial arts skills. Yet, without cyberware, Selina was still just another ordinary woman that could die any day. As a young woman, Selina developed a penchant for thievery that got her noticed. Working her way through local gangs, cyberware trickled its way into her grasp. A Neural Link, Chipware Socket, and Interface Plug were standard fare. But, as she became a better thief, she was rewarded with more. Kiroshi optics for better sight, synthetic musculature for faster speed and higher strength, neural implants for faster reaction times and better decision-making, claw implants in her knuckles and nails, becoming a cat in all but name. By 2077, Selina falls in with the Moxes, walking the streets dressed like a dominatrix to protect vulnerable sex workers and robbing the elites blind in support of Lizzie's Bar. For the right price, she might steal for you, too.
So, right now I have two flavors of Bioshock AU's and they both follow the same root:
Whether she's born in the 1880s (Infinite) or 1930s (1 & 2), Selina Kyle is the child of a Cuban mother who settled in Queens due to its extant Cuban population while her father will still be Carmine Falcone, an Italian American mobster on par with the likes of Al Capone transplanted from Gotham to NYC. In 1 &2, the background there is that Falcone became an investor in Columbia and became one of its shareholders; he'll retain his mobster background and becomes a close associate of Andrew Ryan, securing a place for himself in Rapture to continue his racketeering and form his own syndicate of other mafioso in the city. In Infinite, he becomes a shareholder in Jeremiah Fink's and his wealth secures Fink's place in Columbia. Regardless, she grows up much the same: Selina and her younger sister, Magdalene, are forced onto the streets after their impoverished mother dies. Due to racism at the time, Selina and Maggie adopt the last name Kyle and hide their Cuban heritage, answering that they're Irish Americans (especially as prejudice against Irish people began to decline in the early 20th century) to anyone that asks. In Infinite, Maggie joins a convent that falls in line with Comstock's brand of religious nationalism and becomes a proverbial handmaiden of Lady Comstock. In 1 &2, Maggie isn't heard of again. Selina, meanwhile, becomes trafficked into prostitution and is forced to turn tricks. In Infinite, she becomes arrested for this and sent to the same prison as Daisy Fitzroy, joining the cause of the Vox Populi with the desire to liberate her sister who follows Lady Comstock to Columnia. In 1 & 2, instead of being arrested, she falls in similar circles as Sander Cohen and becomes a hostess in Cohen's, following him to Rapture and prevents her arrest.

@tr1cked -- ;
"Great. Tourists."
Selina liked being ordinary. As much as she'd seen the strength of gods and metahumans wielded and how someone like her was so small compared to them, a fact she hardly resented except when it came time to square off with them. So, excuse her for her hackles being raised, Gotham hardly a hotspot for playing host to gods among men.
"Jeez, talk about an aura. You don't intend on smiting anyone here, do you?"

"Finally, some peace and quiet."
The Grant, as it was colloquially called, was something of a better off flophouse for vigilantes tucked away in the shadow of New York City's crown of skyscrapers. Far from the Waldorf and Astoria, it was a convenient little hole in the wall for out of town vigilantes to call home and avoid the long arm of the law. It was one of the few places a girl could take off her cowl and feel right at home, if a little scrutinized by the wary do-gooders who clutched their pearls at a little gray in their periphery.
Whatever. Stiffs were no fun.
"Long day at the office?" Selina simpered at a broody patron when she slid neatly on a barstool in the elegant, classy bar that was more her scene. Plucking a wine menu with clawed tips, she tutted in disappointment. Definitely not what they'd serve at the Mile High Club, but it's not like she expected better. "Huh, wonder where the bartender is?"
So, something I remembered about New Earth Catwoman is that, while she's still very much the protector of East End, she also has a Robin Hood streak a mile wide and very much still on her expert thief lifestyle. Selina still steals, still robs, still pawns and fences the loot to make her pretty wealthy but to the end that it's to benefit the people of East End. So, not all bad, but definitely not one of the goodie-two-shoes guys, either.

"I mean this in the nicest way possible, but you are not an easy man to find, Constantine."
Probably for the better. Selina warily picked her way through the shabby motel room as if the grease and grim congealed to the stiff carpeting would stick to the leather of her boots unpleasantly, as if it were this season's Jimmy Choo's. The stale stench of cigarette smoke hung sour in the air, and the tacky little ash tray at the plasticine bistro table likely saw its fair share of use. Whatever. Not like Selina hadn't lived this before she'd adopted the cowl, but who was asking? With a flourish even a magician could appreciate, a benign statuette of a Victorian-era woman was placed neatly on said table.
"I'm not a fan of this haunted mumbo-jumbo stuff, but this thing has a big blood diamond that could fetch a pretty price. It's supposedly haunted--supposedly--but I'm not exactly an expert on the subject. I like knowing I won't be cursed when I smash a statue to get at the prize inside."
AU's in the works:
Cyberpunk 2077
"Small town" (Twin Peaks-esque)
