“Yeah and it feels like it’s only getting worse over time,” Kalani sighed, knowing that Portland was steadily growing more populated. But he didn’t dwell on it in the moment and instead smiled a bit, “Yeah it’s nice to get out and chill. And I’m glad to finally get to check out this place.” He continued looking about their surroundings and the general atmosphere of the small bar–its “library”-esque setting and decor was something Kalani found admirable. But his eyes landed back on Maddie again. “I’ve been alright. I’m a lot better now that the cabin fever’s broken. I don’t like being forced to stay holed up in one place for too long, especially on my own. What about you? How are things going for you?”
“Probably. More people are moving here which adds to the problem,” they shrugged. “I’m excited to try out some of the drinks here. The menu is really large, so there is something for everyone.” Maddie looked around the room, admiring the decor. Definitely Instagram worthy. They’d take some pictures before they left. “I get that. I hate being locked inside too long. Though I did get to play with some snow in the backyard. And getting to stay in and cuddle with Aurora was also pretty nice. But it sucks that you had to be alone for part of the snowpocalypse.”
