Creator, Cast Comments of Fukigen na Mononokean S2 Announcement
Wazawa Kiri’s Comment
“We had a talk about a second season of the anime!” Just like with the first season, one day I suddenly received this announcement from my supervisor and was absolutely shocked. But unlike with the first season, even while floored with joy, I think I was able to actually respond normally this time with “Thank you so much!”
While there was a sense of accomplishment at the launch of the anime like “this is the last step of my dream”, I felt like I was letting go of a revolving lanturn as I said goodbye to the staff and greedily fantasized the possibility of a second season if things went well…
To me, there’s no higher honor than seeing my own work become an anime. It’s no exaggeration to say that I think of that honor as a present from everyone who has supported my work until now. By accepting this, as the original creator, together with my supervisor, we plan to fill this undertaking with plenty of love. Moving and speaking Mononokean, returns ☆ With that, please look forward to it!
Yoshioka Takao (Scriptwriter, Series Organizer) Comment
As with the first season, I’ve been allowed to continue as the scriptwriter for the second season. Even as there are even more dramatic developments such as the deepening relations between Abeno and Ashiya, high ranking Underworld officials such as the Legislator, and then the Justice and Executive making an appearance, and Ashiya’s hidden secret, I’m paying especially close attention to keeping up Fuzzy’s cuteness while writing the script. Basically what I want to say is, this time will be full of “Fuzzy~!” too.

Congratulations on the second season of the TV anime “The Morose Mononokean”! This was all possible because of Wazawa-sensei’s fascinating work, and the support from fans! Thank you so much! Actually, the recording has already started, and every time I’m having so much fun playing Ashiya! There will be tons of new characters, and even more lively developments! Laughing and crying in equal measure, please look forward to the world of the “Mononokean” again in the new anime!

Since it was a work that left me thinking very deeply, I’ve wanted to keep acting in it, so I’m very glad that the second season has been made into reality like this. Everyone, please look forward to how interactions will be different with the second season’s characters from the first season’s. I’ll also be doing my utmost to play Haruitsuki in the second season too.
