The depicted figure is a type of "Blemmye" or other so-called "monstrous race", humanoid creatures thought to live on the fringes of the known world. The work is a woodcut illustration, originally by Hans Burgkmair, added by Alessandro Vecchi to his 1618 print of Giovanni Botero's "Relationi Universali". The figure is sometimes interpreted in modern folklore as a satirical or mythological representation, as a "Waldschrat" or guardian spirit of the forests.

Looks like "motherhood" to me.
