That day we all creamed
   âïŽżâAccidents happen.
Everyone always says that. For you, whoâs been in Hive City for a while, youâve definitely had your share of accidents. Accidental meetings, accidental bumps, accidentally getting yourself stuck in a vending machineâthe point is, everywhere you go, youâve somehow managed to find yourself in something related to an accident. You want to say you find yourself used to this but somehow, you still end up being surprised.
Today is not an exception.
The streets were filled with its usual humdrum: busy cars and busy people zooming by. It didnât help that the sunâs out tooânot a cloud in sight to block the harsh rays coming down on everyone. Youâre laboring under the sun as you walk, having recently just come back from the other side of the beyond. You try not to look antsy but itâs hard when your thoughts are jumbled and youâre nothing but a giant bundle of anxious nerves right now.
You donât notice the truck thatâs skidding when you cross the street. Itâs when you start hearing screams that you finally glance up from your pointed stare at the ground and you see the truck exploding and something like a white tidal wave washes over the asphalt and over people scrambling to get away. You, however, are too frozen to react quick enough that the whipped cream sweeps you off your feet and buries you under its sweet richness.
It feels like youâre actually drowning. Once the sweep settles and thereâs a huge whip cream pile, you struggle from where youâre buried, panic beginning to grip at your heart and your mind. your movements become franticâyou donât want to die like this.
You just barely came back from the previous one.
While you frantically dig away at the whip cream so you have some air to breath instead of inhaling cream, you hear a voice in your frenzied movements. Perking up, you try to get your hand out to the top and wave around. You canât necessarily respond without choking on some whipped cream, but you try your best to hysterically wave your arm out, hoping that whoeverâs calling from the distance can see.
Relentlessly, tirelessly. The scooping and digging did not cease, this kind of situation was the most hopeless kind. There was no vision, sound was being absorbed by the substance.Â
But the kid couldnât give up, he wouldnât. Not as a man, not as a hero. This was the kinda stuff he was gonna have to do as one. Chest high in the endlessly creamy goodness he waddles through despite the resistance. Suddenly one of his hands bumps into a flailing hand of another. Eijirouâs eyes widen, he did not know how much time he had on him to save this person, grabbing them by the wrist and pulling them in close to his body. â Are you alright!? Can you breath!? â He shouted loudly, a voice filled of stress and worry. Swiping with his free arm to construct a small dome for air and vision. It was one he had to continuously maintain as the cream kept sinking down at them.
There was so much cream covering the other, Eijirou swept away what he could from their face to get confirmation of their well being.Â
