Some extra thumb sketches for new paintings. Because I like to make a couple of paintings, I'm drawing them all at once first. (Around 20) I was watching some interviews of Freddie Mercury after watching Bohemian Rhapsody (inspiring movie! Have you seen it?🤔) and he talked about music being pure 'escapism', so wrote it down. Nice word.🌝 I think drawing and painting is also pure escapism. Definition: An inclination to retreat from unpleasant realities through diversion or fantasy. Or. Some more rough sketches. I don’t know if people only like to see ‘finished’ pieces but I really like to see the development from other artists. Sketchbooks have all these quick ideas, layers of interesting mistakes. Composition tests. Stories and quick notes. 🌝✨Here’s one of the stamps I designed, with all kind of animals. What’s so cool about stamps is that they can be used in many ways! Here as an insert for a planner for example. (❤️Kikki-K) Swipe right for a closer look. Usually stamps have quit strong lines, because vector will print beautifully (sorry a bit technical info) but I wanted to keep the sketchy feeling, so I created them differently! I’m very curious in how they will turn out! 🌈🌝🌈I’ve been making sketches for new paintings and I want to create some cohesiveness, so I’m going to make multiple paintings with ‘the same vibe’. This is SOOOO hard for me 🤯 because, I love all kind of colour combinations. And I’ve experimented with everything. 🌝 Really dark, light and airy, supercolourful, pastel, sober, black & white, vintage. You name it. So it’s time for a challenge. I looked at all my previous paintings and what I noticed was that I like the mixture of unrealistic colours within the same painting. A bit like the painting with the leaves (swipe right) or the one with the eyes. These thumbnailsketches are for testing out different ideas with my pastel Tombowbrushes. 🤗Just a little process update! 1️⃣ This was a little painting for @wowxwow_art 2️⃣ I always like to use different materials and combine them, so for this one I used colourpencils, acrylics and ink. I wanted to combine ‘softness’ with inklines. 3️⃣ I sketched everything with colourpencils and taped the paper on both sides to prepare it for some paint. 4️⃣ I’ve added more shade and used a fineliner for the little dots in the middle of the flower. 5️⃣ This was my reference flower 🌸 I always change things up but it’s nice to have some guidance. 6️⃣ Close-up at the end. Cutting stickers of my logo sketch. I've made my logo years ago.. and I love the symbolic meaning of bees. Bees are productive, they stay focused on whatever they are doing and do not get sidetracked from their goal. We are being reminded by the bee to slow down, to smell the flowers and taste the sweet nectar of life. Their movement from one plant to plant represents the interconnectedness of all living things. 🐝🌸 Do you have a logo or want to make one?
