When I started watching youtube videos to learn more about photography, one thing that I can gurantee that was said in the many videos I've watched is that- pictures capture moments.
These photos are proof of that because 3 mins later the rainbow was gone.
Art is subjective. I've heard this statement said countless times in the past and indeed it's something we all can agree on.
When the second lockdown started here in the UK where I live, I found myself stuck at home again with very little to do, so I started taking pictures of myself, stills, and whatever interesting shapes I see. This here is one of the first, if not the first, self portrait I took with my camera. At first I thought it was bad seeing as it is blurry and out of focus, I probably could've placed the camera further back, straightened my shirt, and that expressionless face (which is more akin to being clueless than pensive).
However the longer I looked at it; the more it made sense (to me at least) that actually maybe it's not as bad as I initially thought. It has a sense of ambiguity about it, mystery, and clearly shows how I haven't fully grasped the camera's controls and obviously need a lot more practice.
In hindsight, I regret not picking up the camera ealier and started taking pictures because I know that I'd be better at it now had I started learning how to use it way back in March.

I took this photo with a 50mm prime lens a few days back, and I'm very pleased with the result! Moving from a zoom kit lens to a prime lens took me some getting used to because I've almost always relied on being able to zoom in and out to get a shot, but with a prime lens I found myself moving a lot to get a shot; so the total opposite which was good practice in framing subjects.
I took this photo of my neighbour's cat, she was very friendly and seemed like a natural in front of the camera. Funnily enough, it wasn't actually this cat I was initially taking pictures of, but when the other cat lost interest; she (cat)walked *(excuse the pun) right up to me and posed, which I was very happy about.
