Yep yep! Each of the gang has one, I often like to think nightmares original magis isnt meant for harm, only protect (shields for ex) so any fatal damage to the gang is minimized by the little guys (nightmare had more time on how to use them than dream xd) The little guys operate on instinct, so they tend to be more afectionate. Nightmare plays dumb about it (they are very cute)

it could also be used like a curse if it gets out of hand and is stolen, or just nightmare meant for it like the boars on princes mononoke who filled with hate became demons.

Imagine a nightling somehow finding a dreamling and choosing to wrap itself around it and refuse to let go...

the little nightlings (uncorrupted) would help those who cry at night, make them have a nice sleep for once

But yes, they act on a subconcious level. They would get along for the most part
