I'm curious, does she knows how to speak all those lenguajes? Or did she just search the same phrase in google translate?
I speak all those languages. En la universidad, mi especialidad era Japonés, Chino, y Castellano(在美国有很多西班呀文说的人所以他们说 “Spanish”可是我的西班呀文老师告诉我正确的名字是 “castellano”). ガーナ人ので、「Twi」と言うガーナの言葉も話せます。Twi de3 ne kyrう 3ye din efri s3, brofu mu, 3 ne うennyimu.
op I have several questions about your Japanese but most importantly why are you not using the honorific お when speaking to a stranger???? like お名前は何ですか is literally what every Japanese course I’ve taken has made me memorize exactly? To the point that I immediately heard something was off when you said it??
I feel like I’m missing a joke here but I don’t know any other languages
Anyway, now that that's dealt with, time to move my Japanese rambling Discord statuses to this tumblr instead :P

Ew, I still haven't changed the name of this one? My name is Maws! Y'know, a name not derived from anything to my knowledge antisemitic.
The online Japanese course that no one talks about
Okay so I’m not a langblr and I never plan to be. However. What I do know from following a ton of them is that no one talks about Minato.
Now you may be thinking, ‘What’s Minato?’. It’s a website that was recommended to me by a Japanese Studies university professor for learning Japanse at home.
It’s literally the best resource out there and it’s free (funded by the Japanese government). You can choose between self-study and tutor support-led courses.
There are courses in Hiragana, Katakana, and the general language (from levels A1 to A2), and you can download a certificate and study record after completion of a course.
Here’s the link. Or if you want to type it: https://minato-jf.jp
Go. Learn some actual Japanese.
Latin is now available my dudes!!!
Uh oh, Julius, looks like you've skipped your Latin class! You know what that means!

I’ve added even more to the list since I first posted this and am continuing to add new things to it. So, I thought I’d re-post it. As always, if anyone has anything they would like to add, let me know!
I think this is the best tumblr post ever. ❤️
This post is 6 years old, and Duolingo now offers a Japanese course. It’s free and fun practice, but unless you’re constantly reading the comments, it doesn’t explain nearly enough to be used on its own!
I really wish I had a Japanese speaking friend I could ask some questions because reading linguistic articles on Wikipedia is so hard to navigate, especially when I don’t know half of the grammatical terms, and trying to decipher Google translate is difficult since there is no explanation at all and I can’t even be sure it’s correct.
