The fashion and lifestyle department? Not exactly Max’s scene, so to speak, so to say he stuck out wildly was an understatement. Especially today when he’d thrown on the first pair of jeans and t-shirt he could find. He didn’t always stop by, either, so this was a little bit of a change as his eyes sifted around the room until they landed on who he was looking for. Unease momentarily spread over him, wondering if it was okay that he stopped by like this. But it’d been long enough, and they’d been friends once. At least that’s what he was telling himself.
He approached Belladonna’s desk, one of his hands pressing against the edge as he faced her with a small upward quirk of his lips. “Bella.” He said in greeting, eyes drifting to her face as he tried to read her expression. “Just the girl I wanted to see.” His tone was friendly, and Max paused a beat so his presence had time to sink in. “You got a second?”
brxdys:
“friends.” the word dripped with sarcasm as he repeated it — at least, that’s how it felt when he said it, just a hint of a smile as he looked at him. but he was sure his very slight snark was some only max might pick up on. regardless, brady shook his head and followed suit, dropping his board onto the ground as well. “keep up,” he said, leaning over to shove max’s shoulder lightly, before stepping onto the board and pushing forward. he could hear max behind him, and of course brady actually wanted him to keep up despite their back and forth, so he kept it slow until they were in line with each other. “sorry to force you away from your work, but i’ve been craving a bagel all fuckin’ day. wasn’t gonna let you hold me up any longer.” all joking aside, though, brady knew how it was to get caught up with the type of work they did. “workin’ on anything good?” he asked genuinely.
a small huff of laughter escaped him as he pushed one foot against the cement, taking off on his board behind him without hesitation. max kept a reasonable distance, not wanting to accidentally wipe them both out - not again. it was only when there was enough room that he picked up speed to roll alongside him, gaze turned towards the road ahead, yet a smile inched onto his face. “well if it was bagels on the line you should have said so earlier. would have just put in my two weeks to get out of there sooner.” the joke was thrown back easily, until max’s tone turned genuine. “don’t say anything,” he began, knowing full well brady wouldn’t say anything at all. “but we might have a couple of big names lined up to read some thirst tweets. you know the internet loves those. don’t wanna jinx it, though. but someone just told me the chances were lookin’ good.” he rolled over a bump in the sidewalk, causing the wheels of his board to ricochet a bit toward’s brady’s, but he was quick to steer himself in the correct direction, still rolling at a steady speed. “what do they have you working on today?”
hunterfm:
The Vibez office is one of the greatest places to work. Only second to Google, the amenities keep employees both happy and entertained. That’s what the flier said when Hunter first applied here as an intern. And while It wasn’t lying, his excitement about bean bags and yoga rooms were quick to deflate over the years. His desk was picture perfect, practically untouched compared to his old intern desk. Hunter only had one passion, one thing he truly loved more than himself, and It was photography. Seeing all those college kids doing what he did best— It almost always put him in a sour mood. Especially when he was stuck making quizzes like ‘screw jk rowling, what’s your real harry potter house?’. And that was only today’s nightmare. That’s why you could almost never find him with the rest of his team. Like right now. His lunch break wasn’t for another hour, and yet here he was at food services. “Whoever said pizza day should be moved to fridays instead of tuesdays is on my hit list.” He mused to the nearest employee. “What? Like you need anything else to look forward to on friday? It’s friday. You’ve already made It to the end.”
max was super hungry today in particular. it wasn’t exactly a strange occurrence, he was hungry about at least 75% of the time. as were a lot of people, which is probably why food services was as stocked as it was. but the good stuff tended to be taken right before lunch, so max liked to sneakily pop down from the entertainment department and get first dibs. or tried to, at least. the first thing he noticed once he was next to the selection was hunter; the second was how cleared out it was already. dammit. he sighed, making his presence next to his friend known as he tapped him gently on the shoulder with one hand - a silent greeting. "i know, man. i miss it too, but it can’t be all bad.” he said, lamely. “look at all these...tuna sandwiches. and pre-packaged salads. you like vegetables, right?” he reached over to the cold case and picked one up, raising an eyebrow before turning it over in his hand, noticing a couple of the leaves looking a little too wilty, but hey, at least it was healthy. positives to everything, he supposed. they just weren’t his positives at the moment. growing up, he’d always been a picky eater, so nothing was cutting it for him right now personally. max sat the lackluster salad down and turned his attention to the other man instead. “okay. i clearly don’t know what i’m talking about because i’m starving. i dunno about you, but i can’t go on like this.” he lowered his voice quietly so no one else could hear his suggestion, and he only briefly considered the consequences. “let’s break out early and get our own pizza.” besides, it wasn’t that far off from lunch time, and they were both from different departments, so they could afford to be sneaky. it was practically the perfect crime. at least, that’s what his now food-focused mind told himself. “or are you busy today?”

sutton had to do more than five tasks in the day, which was the sole reason why she deemed the day to be too long and decided to treat herself to a few drinks at her favorite place to be. the rooftop bar was one of her favorite places to go. it was always full of a wide range of people and mostly friendly. she wasn’t like other people who wanted to sit at home and relax after a long day of work. rather, she was out and about, ready to chat up a storm and make a few new friends as if she didn’t have enough already. ‘ i know it sounds weird, but you have to try it ! ’, she rambled to the person she stood with at a table. her eyes wandered off for a quick second and that was when she caught a familiar face. her face immediately lit up, she quickly excused herself from the conversation, and made her way over. ‘ what’re you doing here ?! ’, she asked. ‘ well… i know what you’re here… don’t answer that. ’, sutton answered herself, showing signs that she was a bit tipsy. ‘ how was work for you today ? was it busy for you ? ’
"oh, hey!!” the word was exclaimed in practically a cheer; his own face lighting up as he saw her, bringing his own drink along with him. today --- kind of sucked, for lack of a better word, and he didn’t want to end his day on a negative note just ‘cause things had been hard at work. so max had found himself here. admittedly, it wasn’t his first choice when it came to going out to drink, but he liked checking out different places, and he was glad he did, because he came head on with a familiar face. he took a few steps closer, not realizing he was too close to one of the other customers until he accidentally knocked into them, his drink sloshing just a bit. ”ah, shit, sorry,” he apologized, to which he received somewhat of a dirty look - but he was maybe just a little bit too tipsy to focus in on it. “sutton!” he cheered again, grin growing larger as they were now face to face. “today was beyond busy. i think i might be losin’ my mind a little, which is why i’m here. need to blow off some steam, i guess.” he shrugged. “my guess is you’re doing the same?”
brxdys:
“dude, hurry up,” brady said into his phone, staring up at the building he’d just walked out of. he wasn’t always entirely on top of things, but when it came to his lunch break, he was nothing if not punctual. the job could be pretty high-stress and consistently busy — of course he liked to soak up every moment of freedom he had before it was time to go back. right now, that meant urging max along, since the blond apparently wanted to take his sweet ass time meeting brady like they’d planned. brady stood holding his skateboard under the arm that wasn’t pressing the phone to his ear, taking comfort in the fact that it was at least a nice day out today. “i’m about to just go eat without you. and you can skate your slow ass down the street yourself.” @maxcameron
“will you calm down, it’s been like five minutes.” max wasn’t quite as stressed about his time, mostly because he tended to lose track of it at times, but he knew brady would get even more annoyed than he was already if he lingered behind too much longer. this time it wasn’t even his fault, a co-worker had stopped him on his way out to ask him about the latest project. “-and i was working.” max defended lightly into the phone pressed between his ear and shoulder as he stepped out of the building and onto the sidewalk. max’s attention flickered around the area until they settled onto his back. “i’ll call you back, i’m gonna have to fight this guy real quick.” he said before he hung up the phone, tucking it into his pocket as he let his board fall to the ground loudly - meant to grab his attention if his words echoing hadn’t already. “what’s that you were sayin’ about making me skate alone?” he lifted one foot to rest on the board as he rose an eyebrow at him. “now that’s just harsh.” max’s words melted into a tease. “here i thought we were friends.”

in gia’s eyes, she was having a rough day but now that it was lunch time, she knew that her day was going to pick up. the girl walked around feeling a little bit lighter even though she had her bitch resting face on display, she was feeling a lot happier entering the entertainment department office. “oh maxie!!” she sang. raising up two things of tubberware in the air, it almost routine when she took a seat right next to him. “first of all, where have you been all day? I haven’t seen you not once.” without giving him the chance to reply, “I didn’t even get the morning hello.” the girl rested her back against the chair, taking a fork and flung it around in the air as she spoke. “you know I’m convinced that I had a bad day because you didn’t say hello just completely threw off the forte of my day.” she said with smile jokingly. anyone who was overhearing this conversation and didn’t know gia, they would think she was serious but it was max and he knew she was kidding. “even with that being said, I still came all the way over here with homemade raviolis just for you and me.” she sighed dramatically, “you wouldn’t be eating this good if I wasn’t around.” she laughed opening the container for him, handing over a fork and napkin to him. “so what have you been working all day besides ignoring me?”
max’s focus, for once, was on an email he was sent earlier that day. his lips were pulled into a frown as he read it over, and he normally wasn’t one to stress too hard over office politic bullshit - but he was a little bit stressed. he hadn’t even sought gia out that morning, something he quickly realized from the moment he heard her voice ring out through the air. his head lifted up, a smile crossing his lips even as she called him out. he rolled his eyes playfully as she approached him, spinning around in his chair to face her as she came to sit next to him. in truth, he felt kind of bad he didn’t go say hi, something that was part of his usual routine. he’d just been preoccupied. “wow, look at you, chef boyardee. you’ve been busy. what’d i do to deserve this?” his smile shifted into excitement as he lifted the container up, opening the corner as the scent immediately hit him. his stomach honestly kind of growled already, not that it took much to make him hungry in the first place. especially when she was always making all this good stuff. he took the fork and napkin from her with a grateful smile. “you mean cold cereal and lunchables aren’t part of a balanced diet?” he teased, situating the bowl in his lap, briefly twisting to lay the lid on his desk. “thank you, i know this must’ve taken forever---” he said, genuinely, already dipping his fork into the pasta, immediately bringing a ravioli to his mouth to take a bite. “fuckin’ delicious as always,” he said after a beat, savoring the taste of home cooked food, swallowing before speaking again. “i wasn’t trying to ignore you, promise, i got in trouble.” the words were said like it was a joke, but it was the truth. “came in today just to see one of those ‘you should be less social’ emails - which, i thought the point here was to be social.” granted, yesterday he hadn’t been exactly the most focused of employees. admittedly. “i was trying to give it a few minutes before i went back to my old ways.” he grinned, playing it off like it was nothing. “how’s your day been goin’ so far? since i missed the first part. anything interesting?”
(ross lynch, cis male, he/him) have you heard about MAXWELL CAMERON? they’re a 22 year old TEAM MEMBER in the ENTERTAINMENT team. i don’t know what their last job was, all i know is that they’re originally from MADISON, GEORGIA. carol in hr said that they’re kinda IMPULSIVE and OBSESSIVE but jessica in marketing insists that they are FUN-LOVING and GENEROUS. at the end of the day, no one is worthy of the instant hype here. i just hope they get to achieve their dream of being TEAM LEAD IN THE ENTERTAINMENT DEPARTMENT. According to the latest Vibez quiz, their Disney soulmate is PRINCE ERIC (Jem, she/her, 27, pst)
