“Oh h u m a n mine, you…are so c u t e.” He sighed, fighting to wipe the smile off his face.

And now with Matthew passed out on her shoulder, Stephanie leans back on the couch and holds Matthew close to her. If this was how she got him to sleep she'd take it. And now they both are asleep, curled up on the couch together.

in his EXTREMELY deep sleep, matthew’s arms gently w r a p around his wife’s upper torso, legs T U C K E D under him as he curled up in a makeshift f e t a l position, cuddling intently next to her, snoring PEACEFULLY for the first time in days.

"Matthew, you've gotta sleep," she stressed settling down beside him on the couch. "Come to bed with me." Her hand went to rest on his neck, fiddling with the hairs there at the nape of his neck.

he goes to protest more when the sleep deprivation FINALLY hits, && he basically passes out on her s h o u l d e r, soft snores being heard almost immediately.

sorry for my absence lately. i just haven’t been in the right state-of-mind for this blog in the past few days. hopefully i’ll be better but i’m also going on a couple back-to-back trips so activity will be pretty spotty (if any)

he’s l o u n g i n g on the couch, scrolling through his NOTES on his phone when a notification pops up at the top; another comment. almost as a R E F L E X to most of these notifications, he swipes up, closing it, but NOT before seeing who it was from, && then i m m e d i a t e l y opening it, running his fingers through his HAIR as he read it, almost f l i n g i n g his phone at the wall out of F R U S T R A T I O N.

“I’m fine,” she slurred as she tried to reason, going to grab the glass from his hand only to miss it by a few inches. “Matthewwwwwwww~” Her lips pouted.

he sees the POUT, but he cares more about her well-being than her h a p p i n e s s right now, considering she had already had E N O U G H for the night.

He hummed softly, nodding a little at his explanation about fast food places and baking and how they could both be bad. He needed to know things like this…if he was going to stay with him.

He tipped his head as he nudged his hand, taking the can in his hand, eyebrows raising. “T h i s kind is your f a v o r i t e?” He asked, tipping the can up to take sip, eyes locked on Matthew.

He wrinkled his nose at the taste, smacking his lips lightly as he pulled it away. “It t a s t e s funny. Like b u b b l e s.”

once the can was FIRMLY in the other’s grasp, matthew moved a w a y towards their dinner, taking his pizza cutter from the cutlery drawer && running the blade on the pizza, S L I C I N G it into even pieces && placing two slices onto plates for the b o t h of them.

                      ‘ it’s an ACQUIRED taste. some don’t particularly                                c a r e for it, but i like it. goes great with just about                                A N Y T H I N G. it’s like a non-alcoholic wine to me. ‘

he takes the plates in his hands, moving to SET them on the bar && beckoning the other o v e r.
