Introduction

Hello, and welcome to the AU A Day blog! This is fan-run event for MCYT, focusing on the Life Series. Each day of the event will have an AU prompt, which you can write or design for! Tagging this blog will also mean we reblog it, so everyone participating can find your creative project!

More rules and updates will be added as the event begins to form up even more, but until then, just be a decent human being. If you do anything the mods don’t like, you’ll be blocked.

Would it still be possible to participate as a mod? I would really love to join in the fun but also I enjoy being helpful :) (and also I believe I cover a new timezone so I thought that would be helpful too)

are we allowed to put in AU ideas because *checks drafts* i currently have 64 drafts and most of them are MCYT stuff.

Hi friends! While us mods are hard at work ironing out the last few details of the event, there are a few things we need from you!

From now until July 31st, our askbox is open for Alternate Universes you’d like to see on the calendar! Any kind of AU is welcome, but do keep it SFW please!

Anon is also on, and none of the asks will be answered publicly.

Quite a few people said it depends on the month. I want to get it in this year at least, so there will only be months that are about to happen on here. This is a scheduled post, so if ‘one week’ wins, it will further be narrowed down by later polls.

I would say you shouldn’t do August if this is going to be a yearly thing because I think liferadayjune’s new month is going to be August and idk if you want both in the same month

I am planning on running another series of polls after the event runs for 2026, just in case people want it earlier in the year or anything. But if the people want it, the people get it!

I’m running this event in the same style as LAD, by throwing the event on the calendar to get it on people’s radars, and then moving it to a different time next year!

(Personally, I do think it would be cool to have some overlap or perhaps a collab with that team- many of the mods are friends of mine and my fellow mods! But that’s an opinion, not our official answer! ;)

Writing and Art AU Challenge

This is going to be a Life Series themed prompt challenge, if it ever happens. Designed to be a simple challenge for a busy month that’s not always busy, it would feature a set of given AUs for people to design/write around. Would you participate? And if so, how long would you want it to run?

hiya, uh what would applying to be a mod entail? Both for application and being a mod for this?

To apply, we'd basically need to know your account, and if none of the mods are able to vouch for you, maybe a slight background check!

Being a mod would mean you help reblog people's 'submissions' onto this blog, as well as answering asks occasionally.

The reason we're looking for multiple mods is to cover timezones as well as things like people having technology issues.
