pathetic puppy!megan who follows you everywhere without even realising she’s doing it. you’ll get up to grab a glass of water and thirty seconds later she’ll wander into the kitchen with absolutely no reason to be there. when you ask why she came in, she'll just shrug, “i was cold,” and hug you from behind. because of your constant proximity, she accidentally starts mirroring your habits. if you start saying a certain phrase, she’ll be saying it a week later. if you suddenly become obsessed with a snack, she’s buying the exact same one for herself.she starts using the same emojis. and she doesn’t even notice she’s doing it until someone points it out. lara even says, “i swear, you two yawn the same way.”
pathetic puppy!megan who physically cannot play it cool around you. she tells herself she’s going to act mysterious today, only to immediately smile the second you walk into the room. all of her carefully rehearsed composure disappears within five seconds of making eye contact, immediately throwing her arms around you.
pathetic puppy!megan gets so excited every time you text her that she’ll open the message before the notification has even fully appeared. it doesn’t matter if it’s something incredibly boring like “don’t forget your charger.” she’s already smiling at her phone. she sends multiple texts in a row with no shame. she even gets visibly happier the second you walk into any room. everyone notices it. she could’ve been sitting there looking completely exhausted, but the moment she hears your voice it’s like someone switched the lights back on.
pathetic puppy!megan who can tell the difference between every single one of your laughs or when your mood sours. the polite laugh when you don’t actually find a joke funny; the awkward laugh when someone makes a distasteful joke; the one where you’re genuinely amused. the snort you do when something catches you completely off guard. she’ll hear one from across the room and instinctively look over just because she likes hearing you happy. she also tries to comfort you even when she has absolutely no idea how. she’ll awkwardly pat your shoulder. offer you half her snack. quietly sit beside you in complete silence if that’s what you need. she just can’t stand seeing you upset without doing something.
pathetic puppy!megan who has absolutely no concept of personal space with you. if you’re sitting down, she’s practically on your lap. if you’re standing up, she’s leaning half her body weight on you. if you’re lying on the couch, she’s using your shoulder or lap as a pillow until she falls asleep there and you have to carry her to bed. she sometimes falls asleep almost instantly if you’re playing with her hair. entire conversations will suddenly stop because she’s gone completely quiet, only for you to look over and realise she’s been asleep for the last five minutes.
