sharing my words with the world is new to me but i am trying to be less solitary so. hi :)
i have begun taking notes on things that inspire me and at the end of each day i attempt to write a poem based on one (or more) of these aforementioned things.
the above poem (untitled) is the first of its kind, inspired by:
copper oxide/algae around shower head; green-blue color like a halo of mold
the rubber-leather bit of yogurt around the rim of the lid; dehydrated and dense; whey
the trampled-down bit of carpet showing where i pace; carpet matting dry lightning
clouds moving w the wind; clouds are brighter than the night
i am also trying to care less about perfection and so while i may not think this to be my best poem, or even a mediocre one, i am forcing myself to send it into the internet ether anyway. consider this exposure therapy.
