About me: I'm a Christian author and artist! I'm mostly here to post art and the like, and stuff about my fanfiction!

Things I will probably blog about:

Music: my favorite bands are twenty øne piløts and Owl City, but I also like STARSET, Skillet, eleventyseven, The Jellyrox, dc Talk, and many more.

Books/Manga: The Lord of the Rings, (/ the Silmarillion) and My Hero Academia are the big ones.

Shows/Movies/Games: Final Fantasy XII and XV, and Kingdom Hearts. Zelda a bit. Studio Ghibli movies.

Any content I post or reblog will be sfw. The only potentially concerning i may post is stuff with violence/blood, and I'll probably put anything bad under a read more cut.

I also will be blogging about Dabi who is an... interesting character, and possibly talking about injuries/medical conditions in regards to characters and writing.

I don't plan on blogging about Christianity a lot (i will probably a little) but I will almost definitely reference it in regards to the music I listen to and also possibly other media as well.

If you give me sketchy vibes I will block you, but otherwise no dni.

I think I should clarify by 'sketchy vibes' I mean if you're just Some Dude, have a blog completely unrelated to mine, or comment on my post with no prior interaction asking to dm.

Having a nsfw blog about one of the series I like is, sure, perhaps, a little sketchy imo, but it's a totally different normal Tumblrflavor of sketchy, so I'm not gonna block you for interacting with my stuff.

A few more things about me: I do not and will not use Gen AI for anything on this platform or anywhere else. I like jewelry, crafting, and moss, plants, and bugs. I have a separate blog for that:

About the fanfiction, in summary:

Optimist is the current title of my fanfiction. It was supposed to be largely about Hawks, of course, but is now largely about Dabi.

The fic is entirely post canon, and mostly canon compliant, with the exception of Dabi’s death (sometime during the eight years in canon) being faked by a random band of villains hired by Doctor Garakai (who probably just escaped from jail or something idk)

There's quite a bit I haven't plotted yet, especially in regards to the first arc, but I am currently writing and publishing it on Ao3. I think it's also fairly important that Touya somewhat accidentally becomes a vigilante.

Sick thinking about Keons. His people actually admired and were proud to serve him. He took a special interest in Clancy and tried to protect him. His act of love got him killed by the other bishops.

I imagine that when he had to take the pen from Clancy at the end of his set SAI writing sessions, he was upset.

‘I must ask that you return your pen, my son.’

*clancy does not respond, but hands the pen back*

‘I am so very proud of your work. I wish it were under different circumstances, but I am very excited for Dema to hear it.’

This came to me in the shower I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Keons bent over his desk, writing a letter fervently. The idea had come to him while he was trying to sleep. The sound of his pen’s tip scratching the paper desperately was the only sound in his tower, given it was the dead of night. 

Dear Torchbearer and Banditos, it began. 

Do not attempt to stage a breach in the coming months.

Clancy has been selected as a key figure in a propaganda program known as ‘Scaled and Icy’, and is under stricter supervision than he once was. 

Do not let this alarm you, for I do have a plan to create a distraction for your next breach attempt: 

The annual assemblage this year will be held at sea in a submarine. I could not tell you why, in all honesty it seems a bit theatrical. Regardless. The submarine will be in the Paladin Strait, home to the one you call Trash. He passed away many years ago, but before he did so, we made an agreement that allows me to Seize him in the event it may help Clancy escape. I will Seize him to disrupt the assemblage. 

Torchbearer, you must Guide Clancy, beginning now. Help him home after the disruption. 

I fear the others will kill me for this, but I see no other way.

He signed the letter and folded it with trembling hands. He called for Clifford- a secret melody only Keons, the Banditos and Clifford knew- and the vulture appeared on a nearby windowsil. 

“You called?” 

“Yes, yes, Clifford, this message is of utmost importance. It must find its way to the Torchbearer as soon as possible.” 

Clifford held out his leg, letting Keons tie the letter to it. He gently rubbed the vulture’s chest with his knuckle, and Clifford nuzzled into his hand. 

“Thank you.” He whispered. Clifford bobbed his head in acknowledgement and flew off. Keons watched him leave, a mixture of excitement and fear. This had to work.

I think the thing that's bothering me the most right now is how any printed image could be ai and probably is.

I work at a big (i think nationwide) craft store and sure I make. Not a lot. But it's GREAT because I stock the paint and marker isles and man. I get to unbox Expensive Paints and put them on shelves.

But it feels like all the seasonal decor is ai. Every painting, paint by number, printed sign, ANYTHING (i suspected but was uncertain of some ceramic dishes, and was positive of some) unless it's just a regular geometric pattern or obviously hand painted reeks of ai

I'm pretty sure like half the year round paint by numbers (the ones that aren't classic famous paintins) they sell probably all the sketchbooks with designs, and more.

Like, if it's an item with something printed on it it could be ai and probably is. Online shopping, too.

Unless it predates ai or is being sold by a reputable anti ai artist I'm not buying it anymore... it's really unfortunate...

I've been told 'if you like it and don't know, just buy it' but no. You don't get it. The uncertainty will haunt me, and if I later realize it's ai I will be very disappointed!

It'd also show commitment to a long-term presence in that space rather than merely occupying it until a better offer or the opportunity to make more money by stripping the business for parts comes along.

I 100 percent agree. Every building feels so temporary and bland nowadays

Also the take of 'you can't resell it' coward. People would absolutely buy a building like that and convert into a weird house or a cool library if you do move on.

Or. Yknow. If they don't appreciate the pure unadulterated AWESOME they can paint it sad beige and corporate mint themselves.

i just had an idea that would make my fanfiction 150 % cooler but would require heavy rewrites but it would give better explanation of character development + give Hawks a chance to really shine + also Dabi + also my confounded OC who won't stop becoming important

BNHA/MHA Writing Prompt/Starter!

“Fuyumi… I’m sorry I haven’t really been responding to your messages…”

I’ve been really busy? I didn’t know what to say? I’m scared I’ll mess up somehow? I miss you? There’s a villain with a gun standing behind me?

“Yeah… I understand your job is a lot,” Fuyumi’s voice came through the phone, tinny and faint. “We can talk more in person, tomorrow, right?”

He cleared his throat. “Yeah… I’ll be there. I’m sorry… I love you.” He placed the phone back on the receiver, and turned around, drawing his katana. 

He couldn’t think of something to say, so he just faced down the masked man, in a ready stance. 

“Takami?” the villain demanded.

“Yeah,” Keigo said. “What about it?”

Here's the deal! I wrote this for a fanfiction wip, but the focus of my fanfiction has since changed and I won't be using this section of writing + I had no idea what to do next :')

I read all the reviews (except breach, which wasn't a thing) long before I listened to tøp (except stressed out, which played on the radio, but I didn't know that was tøp) and for some reason found them fascinating.

uninstall adobe acrobat. it is malware. it has been malware. these aren't opinions: acrobat meets the definition of malware.

it installs a user-login-time "startup" executable that ignores any windows directives to disable it on startup. doing so only removes the even-more-malicious taskbar-icon-creating advertisement-notification-creating process. no matter what you do, the sleeper "updater" process starts when you log in, and runs perpetually

it sends & receives encrypted network traffic both periodically and non-periodically. both are bad, both are suspicious, and a program doing both is more suspicious than the sum of their parts. and to boot: acrobat will polymorphically edit its code after such network activity

this isn't new: it has always done this. now, it does not even do the thing it is meant to: provide a way to interact with documents, which is amongst the very first features computers were built to provide. you can merely open PDFs and read some of their content in the narrow space between the requests for adobe to give them your money, and interface for features you cannot use (because you don't) or do not, have not, and will not ever need

adobe and microsoft would very much like the user's cultural norms around computers to allow for advertisement built into the local software and even operating system itself. the web being 100% advertisements was not enough! sure enough, acrobat will hijack the windows notifications system thing to give you the 2026 equivalent of pop-ups

i don't really know enough about windows software equivalents, so i'll paypal $20 to the first person that reblogs this with a list of 3-5 PDF reader/editor/etc acrobat equivalents that meet the following criteria:

open source, locally-built executables must match checksum of prebuilt distributed executable

no paid features/premium version/subscription/whatever

not a toy hobby project thing, must be windows-users-proof

I had acrobat without knowing this and it was absolute trash (not the dragon)

I just used Firefox

I dunno if I bothered to delete it but eh the computer it was on was hacked by someone else so it doesn't matter
