I have been neglecting my beloved tumblr! I shall come back soon darling! I miss you!

SO... I'm been pretty lucky lately (well some may call it luck, some may call it hard work!), and i've just finished an amazing two weeks work experience at ITV, where i worked with 14-17 year olds on a 'work inspiration' scheme (definitely in the top 10 experiences of my life!). And have also sent out about a thousand emails, to which i've manage to get a total of two responses (one which is a result of working with ITV), which are:

MAKE - Based in Huddersfield media centre, 'MAKE is a digital agency bursting with mobile & web creativity, passion and experience.' Had a response from a guy named Warren who said he is more than happy to go for a coffee and see what i can do for them sometime soon, just have to drop him an email tomorrow to set up a date.

Candu Media - Received an email about opportunities within production and after a few emails to and fro i'm on my way to Ossett this Wednesday to meet the assistant director Neil to watch recording for a new tv channel and to discuss opportunities of experience within his business.

Also, from my work at ITV i am on line for some more work experience with them:

Working as a runner in the news room and hopefully some shadowing of the pa's (if you've never seen what they do in the gallery it is laterally amazing!)

Working as 3rd assistant director at Emmerdale

May i add to this, yes i'm getting quite a bit of work experience but its from non stop nagging and chasing people up! But my summer project and my dissertation is seriously suffering for it!

“The Cyclotrope” is a device recently built and animated by Tim Wheatley. It was inspired by early inventions for displaying motion pictures such as the Zoetrope and Praxinoscope

A music video for Danger Beach’s song “Apache,” animated/directed by Ned Wenlock and character design by Rodney Selby.

"The track made me think of traveling but I think a lot of music video’s use this device so I was looking for a new way to show traveling without just having panning backgrounds etc. I thought it’d be cool if you could see more of where he’s going and where he’s been. This made me think of bending the plane he’s on like a roll of paper going through a print machine so we can see shapes of things to come. I added more rolls so he could move between planes which he does on the train ride. When it was set up I tried to think of different way’s this system could be used to illustrate a scene, starting with quite a simple desert scape and the inside of a cave to the more complex scenes with the train where the motion bleeds together. I’m already thinking about new projects where I can push this idea further. A more graphic less literal approach might be interesting.

The textures, colours and bits of postcard are a nod towards nostalgia for the old west as depicted in kids books and films."
