I was thinking really hard but couldn’t come up with a funny caption
pairing cedric with miranda, a girl who literally looks 12 was the worst sin the tv show committed
this blog is almost six years old rip
happy pride month to everyone except for phobos escanor
Okay, so nobody asked, but I wanted to share my headcanon since the show only fed us crumbs. Cedric grew up among humans. Since Meridian royalty seems to hold a negative bias against creatures pre-Phobos rule (I imagine a hierarchy where they treat those who resemble humans better), he is shunned by his village and forced to leave after his first transformation. Meeting Phobos was a coincidence. Despite his family's views, Phobos is a freak who feels connected because he too was rejected as an unwanted son. If I remember correctly, it’s implied that only women of the royal family were supposed to wield the magic of their planet. Phobos having those powers but no claim to the throne could explain why he feels so entitled. In the show, the rebellion is male-dominated and village women are portrayed as mothers or kitchen workers, so maybe women only held political power in the nobility. Peasants still uphold patriarchal structures. When Phobos discovers this his worldview crumbles and he feels betrayed because why is he treated like a spare if everywhere else men are treated with systemic privilege and authority? He meets more creatures, forms alliances, and accidentally starts a revolt that kills his whole family. Cedric feels guilty because he thought Phobos was trying to revolutionize the system for him and joins him in his cruelty.
That's the turning point of them becoming ✨evil✨
Well, and because Cedric has mommy and daddy issues and desperately seeks for love/ belonging, and Phobos can't shake off his feelings of loneliness and insecurity, they develop this unhealthy codependency. Bye.
Ok but is it not so fucked that Caleb's plan to reveal whether or not Elyon was real or a projection was to throw a fucking metal disc at her???? Like, yeah dude, THAT will endear her to your cause! Nothing beats a random piece of metal getting frisbeed right into your noggin!!
god i wish to be one of those ppl who have not thought about WITCH in years (or never even heard of it).
I desperately yearn for (tv show) Cedric lore
W.I.T.C.H concept Live Action trailer
okay but why did everyone post about the live action rumours just to never mention it again?
thinking about how elyon deserved a proper insanity arc because imagine getting groomed by your evil brothers equally evil situationship
POV: you’re a witch fan who’s only interested in the complex meridian lore and escanor family dynamics that are completely made up and only exist in fandom
sketching four different versions of the same Phobos!!! I'm still playing around with procreate 🥴
the left one belongs to @i-plague-eater
let’s go to yuri hell and stay there forever
Snake appreciation month
Magic
Maybe Phobos would have turned Cedric into a Murmurer had he succeeded. Maybe he woud continue to rule all alone, his creations voices echoing his own. Maybe his garden would outlast its ruler, their consciousness melting together and overtaking the castle. There it would stay haunted forever, looming over the city.
