im not home yet so idk if it's back or not but when i left the internet guys were there trying to fix the problem (since it was something affecting the whole building not just us)

And you can tell they only responded this quickly because football's on sunday and if they left people without internet on fucking sunday they'd get eviscerated by angry football fans

fascinating phenomenon where fans beg for a female character to be given depth yet don't explore her character themselves in fan work + ignore all depth that was already there if they'd bothered to look. Like really i feel some people like the idea of female characters more than they actually like the characters

i feel really happy with where im at in life right now. like i could definitely be doing more things i guess but im finally having classes that i enjoy and look forward to (which is something i had never had before) and im not as stressed out about the future as i used to be. life's so great never kill yourself

#Technically I can but i cant upload them. and if i need to color pick im fucked #I'll probably use the time to work on my mass attack and just reference appearence off my phone #it's not going to be in the coloring phase for a While #I've only barely started on the digital sketch. Only one character down out of 21 + 2

im still hyperfixated on sticks and will probably continue drawing them in fun clothes after art fight is over but i LOVE my ocs. and last night i was literally thinking about them non stop and getting drawing ideas and stuff. so I've at least been reassured that that interest hasn't like, faded or anything

it used to be something i was really scared of when i first started making kirby ocs, to the point i was trying really hard to Not make ocs. It became kind of an inside joke, because i'd say "i made this, but it's just to pad out the world. im not going to get attached". and then I'd get attached. In fact my favorite oc (anansi) was one i said i Wouldn't get attached to. and then. yeah...

40 ocs later and I finally stopped trying to pull on the reins. but still. i was scared I'd make all these fun guys and then never draw them again if i ever got into anything else as crazily as i was into kirby

after all, i have 3 whole mlp next gen AUs with a lot of ocs each that have been abandoned for a looong time. because i got into kirby, and even then I can't really engage with mlp the way i used to without getting really sad so I don't think about them anymore. i still really love them though but i haven't been able to bring myself to draw them in like 4 years, which is a shame

despite how unexpectedly AvA gripped me i think I'm definitely not into it for the long run like kirby. like yeah i made two ocs but i only drew them like 4 times total like almost a month ago.

I'll still always love it obviously and stay up to date, hyperfixations fade but the love is forever, but whenever i fully go back to drawing my ocs it's going to be a while before anything is able to pull me away from them again like it did lol

#nothing beats drawing orbs #but sticks get very very close. I've been having a blast

anyone have a single fucking clue how to get rid of same face syndrome in art. I've had this evil disease for over 10 years

#like technically my fault since i very rarely draw people #there's a lot that can be improved and that improved naturally. like i think my anatomy isn't very bad #and i can make variable character designs because i really like hair. and im getting there with clothes #even some different body types (though not as varied as i would like due to lack of study and practice)#but I've NEVER learned how to do different faces. and it pisses me off so baddd how do people do thisss #i also feel as if being bad at faces affects other aspects of my art like anatomy. because the faces don't fit the body #IT SUCKS. HOW DO I GET GOOD AT IT FAST
