It has been over a month since the last time Meryl was face to face with Pierce and even then, they didn’t talk to each other because of the presence of Keely, Pierce’s ex who had showed openly that she didn’t like Meryl and she would never approve a relationship between her and Pierce, that next to Meryl’s busy schedule and her constant trips for work had lead the new couple to part ways and forget that once they were more than friends, probably there were feelings there and that’s why Meryl was nervous and really worried about a new encounter with Pierce, this time without curious people, without cameras, just he and Meryl. As soon as they accorded to meet in her place, she couldn’t stop thinking about it and be ready for the visitor. She was a little tired after a whole day of rehearsals for her new movie but it didn’t stop her from order dinner and change into something decent to look good.
Wearing a pair of black jeans, a blue blouse with a black cardigan, she waited nervously for Pierce. She walked back and forth while she waited and at the same time she answered some messages from Louisa and Henry until she saw a car pulling out her house and her heart jumped out her chest wishing that everything turned out well.
Pierce had no idea why he felt nervous about all this. Of course, there was so much that had gone between them. He leaned against the wall as he waited for her to answer the door. He thought about the last time he had been at Meryl’s place. When things were so much happier. He sighed. Why couldn’t things go back to being so much easier? Keely had seemed to have got the message now that she wasn’t anything to do with him anymore.
He was in his own little world, but hearing the door open, he was brought out of his thoughts. He looked over towards the door and saw Meryl. He pushed himself away from the wall and looked at her. She looked great. She had clearly changed into something decent where he didn’t.“Hello Meryl.” He said to her.
Meryl couldn’t hide her smile when she saw Pierce at her door. “hey Pierce” she replied and her smile got wider “Nice to see you again Brosnan” she chuckled and invited him to come inside, she hugged him with some kind of relief because he was fine and he looked good after all these months without seeing each other “It’s good to see you again” she said pulling away slowly “come in, please! Are you hungry?” she asked as she walked inside guiding him in the living room, there were a few changes since the last time he was there, she decided to change the decoration.
“Please take a seat, what do you prefer? tea? coffee? wine” she asked walking to the kitchen nervously.
