And the end is just blinding light because I figured out what I needed too and thus decided to end the fight on a cliffhanger

These two pages were fun to figure out because like my initial plan for them was just like cartoon explosion noise which is not a visual thing

The thought behind the environment is that it’s kinda created through a combination of both powers so it’ll actually be a bit different in each fight

I had a lot of fun designing their costumes, like the paneling the goal was this weird cross between fighting game and magical girl anime that turned out better than I initially thought

Double pages today because well it’s a two page spread and they don’t really work individually

I was going for a sort of fighting game feel with the page layout and think it ended up working pretty well

After waffling back and forth decided to go ahead and make a blog for this. Umm right so introduction for everyone I haven't babbled too first.

MGFight!!! is a comic I work on in random spurts that is pretty much a magical girl fighting tournament occasionally to the death. The winner gets a wish magically granted, the losers are stuck in the next round of competition until they win or more often die. These two are Mattie (in red) and Sam (in blue) and are the two main characters. Mattie has been stuck in this so long she’s just kinda numb to it all and Sam is the new kid who just kinda likes fighting. They don’t really get along.

Right now it consists of a 16 page test fight to figure out paneling and plans for short character vignette/background sorta things that won’t really come up in the main story. So um yeah rn new pages of the test fight will post every Thursday and we’ll just kinda have to see where I’m at after those are done I guess.
