Not to rain on your parade, honestly — everyone could use a bit of your preaching from time to time. (And when I say everyone, I mean everyone with their head so far up their ass that you wouldn’t be able to pull it out if you tried.) But do you really see things changing for the better anytime soon? Sure, new city, new apartment, new job, but same people. The people are the only real contributing factors to whatever shit happens to us.

There’s no fresh start, Mia. We aren’t starting things together. Because “we”, unfortunately, are the problem.

But that doesn't mean we can't change for the better, though. We're all constantly changing; learning from past experiences to not make the same mistakes, and this situation is not any different. I truly believe that a person can change if they try, you know? And what better opportunity to take a big turn in your life than after moving from a city that held so much pain for all of us to a place that is free of blood and horrible stuff. We're humans, we make mistakes, but we're also smart enough to know when changes are needed and when they're not. At least that's how I see it, but maybe that's because I always like to look at things from the bright side unlike all of you. Every human has at least a little bit of kindness inside them, Harley.

I know you haven't, but I just wanted to make my point clear. I was not trying to disrespect you anyway, because I do want it to be mutual, so I have to be careful with what I say. Just try to not talk to me like you just did because that's not exactly what I would call respect.
