First Soccer Goal!
Wow! Michael did awesome today at soccer! So proud! He got in there and kicked the ball many times and he even scored his first "real" game goal!!! I'm so proud of his hard work! He got two injuries and still continued to play! Way to go my little love bug! Muah! Oxox The best part, was his "girlfriend" Sydney was there playing on the opposing team. She's number 7 and Michael is number 8! So hilarious because they kept stopping mid-game to hug each other!
Preschool Parent Teacher Conference
I'm so proud of my baby boy Michael! we had parent-teacher conference today at his preschool and he is doing fabulous! He works hard he's responsible, he's respectful, and he loves school! The teacher calls him her "science boy"! 🔭🔬 Way to go Michael I am so excited for you. Mommy and daddy love you very much! You bring excitement and joy, entertainment and unconditional love to our lives every day. We love your silliness, your seriousness AND we just love your zest for life! Your stories and conversations are the best! Don't let anyone put you down for what you do! Continue to ask your questions, to study, to observe and reflect on everything the way you do now. you are amazing! I'm super proud of you! Oxox
Sun Is Setting
The other day while all of us were in the car, the sky was beginning to get dark and Michael reflectively states, "When the sun sets, it's like the Earth is closing its eyes."
A Conversation About Michael’s Vacuuming
My son comes into my bedroom (where I'm trying to get things done) and he asks very sincerely and with interest, "How are you doing Mama?"
Me, just a little overwhelmed with some things, household stuff and my professional development teacher cert stuff reply, "Awe, thank you. Yeah, I'm ok, I think."
He turns his head and looks around and sees the vacuum out by the bathroom and immediately says “can I help you with anything? Are you going to vacuum the bathroom ? Can I do it? Can I?”
Me, thinking, "Well, yeah sure, if you really want to but you don't have to!"
And he responds, "oh, I do want to."
And with that he spends the next 20- 30 minutes in the bathroom vacuuming the floor!!
A Conversation About Michael’s Vacuuming
After he vacuums the bathroom floor, Michael says, "Let's go see the floor. Ok mama, let's go look. Do you want to see it?"
"I sure do! I bet it looks fantastic!"
We walk in and he says, "well, it looks newer than I was finking (thinking), but..."
"Wow Michael it's absolutely gorgeous!! It looks like a brand new floor! You did a wonderful job!! Thank you so much for doing that for me!!”
I bend down to hug him and he's got this look on his face that is so sweet and gracious and that he'll do anything for me. WOW! I'm so blessed! So so so blessed! How do I deserve him??
Soccer Day
So proud of Michael today! He got right in there and played hard! We have some skills to work on but he played the entire time and no pouting or sitting out!! So happy for him to see him excited and happy!... It must be that power drink we are giving him! ... Lol! Way to go Michael!
I Just Love Mother’s Day
Friday night:
Michael “Mom, I just love Mother's Day”...<sigh>.
“You love Mother's Day? (Smiling/little laughter) How come?”
“Well, I just love it because I get to make you things.”

MONSTER Poops!
While changing Maggie's 2nd "poopy" diaper this morning, a whole family experience by the way, Michael explains THIS to his sister:
"Maggie you have MONSTER-sized poops. Monster-sized poops are poops that are SO so SO big (his arms opened wide) and so so stinky and you do them all the time and they're called MONSTER poops!" ...
Yep, just another daily lesson Michael teaches his sister.
Michael And Kids and Marriage
The other day we were driving to my mother's to watch the kids for me while I had an appointment to go to, Michael and I had some silly-fun conversations in the car together. One of them was the following.
Michael when you grow up one day and if you get married would you want to have kids of your own?
Yes.
How many would you have?
Um, I want 100 kids! (Giggling)
Wow 100 kids, that's a lot of kids to keep track of! ... What would you name a boy and what would you name a girl?
Being more silly, he looks out the car window and replies , if it's a boy I'd name him building and I'd name the girl car (he's Really laughing here).
Oh boy, you're really silly. Who would you marry?
I'd marry Maggie!!!
Um, no you can't marry Maggie.
Why, I want to marry Maggie!! (Sad face)
No you can't marry your sister or a family member.
Why? (Whiny and sad face)
Because you can't....so who would you marry?
Um, I would marry .... Oh no wait I can't do that because boys can't marry boys and girls can't marry girls.
Who told you that?
Well my friends, (X, Y and Z) at school told me that.
Oh well, some boys do marry boys and some girls do marry girls, I reply.
Oh well, in that case then I want to marry Joey!!!!! (Very happy face)
(Laughing to myself and stifling a smile), why would you like to marry Joey?

Yesterday after Joyce left, I (Brittany Beland at Tollhouse Preschool) was looking for something that I couldn't find.
Me "Ahhhh Miss Joyce im losing my marbles!" Michael "why do you need marbles?"

This was a conversation I had with Michael on the way to school yesterday (3/26/2015)
Me: Michael, what are you going to do at school today? Michael: I'm going to do good. Me: Are you going to learn anything new today? Michael: Yes. Me: What are you going to learn about? Michael: I don't know, I'm not at school yet.
Just love his 5 year old perspective on life. Too cute.....and smart!

Tonight at dinner, Michael, out of the blue, turns to me (Mommy) and states simply and matter-of-factly, "Mom, I want to marry Maggie!" 👰
