I noticed that bendy (with his shirt on) tends to look bigger than he actually is in terms of weight.

His shirt looks tight fitting at times, but the more I looked at it, the more I realized his shirt is probably baggier than I assumed. It kinda trips me out looking at him with a shirt vs without a shirt, cause it looks like his physique completely changes.

Was this done on purpose? Does bendy wear this baggy shirt specifically to put up the facade that he’s at a healthier weight than he actually is? Is it symbolism of him hiding his illness from others out of fear of vulnerability?

Lore reason: yes, he does wear slightly baggier clothing to make himself bulkier than he actually is, especially clothing that covers his spines more

Artistic reason: I had a phase in the fandom where i got really pissed off about how "twink-y" and "delicate" people portrayed him. So to contrast that i tried to make him bigger/thicker. However eventually i realized that kinda worked against the story we have for him so i doubled back to his original body type.

Im using this as an excuse to info dump about the au. (with the help of a old canvas from November)

The Little Devils Reprise AU:

I need y’all to know that there are essentially two sides to this au. One of them as kids just being silly, and one after a time skip where they reunite as adults and gotta save the isle together.

With that beings said INCESSIVE YAPPING ABOUT AU BELLOW THE CUT:

It started with me inserting Bendy into The Cuphead Show in 2022. At first it was just doodles of devildice as parents and bendystraw making the devils life infinitely worse. But then I planned episodes, more dynamics, the casino staff, more conflict, the devils backstory, the devil got split in two, the calix amani, some big battle where they all team up and transform for some reason… it was all self indulgent af but it had so much content that I made a sequel to it in 2024.

Basically, I got back into the bendy games and that meant I got bendystraw worms in my brain again. This time I added a time jump where they reunite as young adults: cuphead is broke and trying to get a job, bendy is a nepo baby doing whatever he wants, refusing to choose between showbiz and ruling hell. They are solving some random mystery I never thoughtout all that much, just that they get drinks together and figure out their adult lives by being together.

Present day: motm happens and I am borne back ceasisly into bendystraw shipping (iykyk). The dynamics of them as children are still largely the same, the devil is still ragebaited by bendy choosing to love cuphead out of all people. But im redoing the lore and story in the time skip part (which u can view as a seperate/non-canon au to the childhood sillyness if u want). So here’s the context for my current The Little Devils Reprise AU:

The Devil made Bendy out of his blood and some ink bc he was bored and how hard could raising a child be? Not very, but he had henchmen and King dice so it’s fine.

Bendystraw did get together as like 12 year olds, but they never truly understood how wild that was considering their demon/calix amani cultures. It’s simple childish puppy love, holding hands, stupid fun and stuff.

But apparently, The Devils resentment for cuphead isnt just bc he’s cuphead and annoying, but also bc them being together accidentally brought armagettin. (Idk how, ask god/j)

One day bendy stopped visiting the cups. Cuphead was in denial, then angry as hell, but eventually moved on.

Some astral plane bullshit made all the immortals go crazy, angels (the devils siblings), quadratis, chalice, all went crazy.

The Devil is most of the time stuck in eldritch horror non-lucid beast mode somewhere in the astral plane or deep circles of hell. So King Dice and Bendy cant access him, the imps and henchmen report back as much as they can but most of the time they cant access him either.

The Devil is like constantly shifting forms and levels of lucidity, but sometimes he shifts into his blue angel mode (from the DLC) where he has no memories of the fall but is the most lucid. This is for angst reasons :p

Because all the immortals are going crazy the world cant really regulate it self and the sky turned red

teenager cup bros somehow after a lonnnggg journey of learning about their ‘heavenly’ culture, and probably fighting bosses to collect smth, turns chalice normal. Say good bye to your childhoods cups bc ur in a revolution now i think.

A bunch of calix anami descendants ende met up to try and revamp their culture and powers, allegedly to stop the world from going crazy. The cups got their finger guns perminantly and some other power up stuff.

Mugman has devoted himself to the cause, finding fulfillment in researching and expierimenting with others who are interested in their culture, piecing knowledge and history together and what not.

Cuphead cant be less interested, hes not fully trusting of what others in their causes motive are and what their goal is anyway. This causes distancing between the cupbros :(

also bc no immortals are doing their jobs, a bunch of spirits, imps, idk whatever the crap is up with the vegetables and plant people, are running free and causing mayhem for various reasons. The world is not safe and the cups have a bit of a reputation so they get jumped (mostly by imps) all the time when just trying to get a drink.

FINALLY, during an attack by some stronger demons Cuphead gets cornered but dun dun dun BENDY APPEARS.

They freak out over seeing the other after so long and how the other has grown up, while fighting a bunch of demons therefore they get a good look at each others new powers as well.

They fill eachother in about what they’ve been up too, what their doing about the about the new world going to shit, and somehow, despite how they ended things, decide they trust eachother more than they do their own sides. As previously stated, Cuphead doesn’t trust the members of the calix amani. And the demons are still loyal to the devil, despite bendys heritage he did not expirience the fall, so a lot of them just see bendy as a nepo baby and not experienced enough for what’s going on or leading anything.

They actually all originally look to Henchmen as the temporary ruler of the demons that manage earth, but Henchmen decided to give the role to king dice (who was already in a long term relationship with the devil anyways, right hand man and all), because he did not feel comfortable taking his best friends position. Especially since he was still greiving, instead he guards the devils states, while King Dice manages hell.

Dice is handling the Devil being MIA through barrying himself in his work. He’s not performing anymore and so has a lot more of an intimidating persona, one that hes forced to adopt to keep the thousands of demon’s respect, as he is still technically mortal. Although, a good powerful portion of them are still loyal to King Dice since he basically ruled with the devil for song long before anyways.

Bendy has been helping King Dice (his father) as best as he can. Collecting debts, stopping demon uprisings, representing him in meetings etc. He’s very much still in the process of finding how to becoming an adult under the circumstances he’s in. Coming of age as an immortal demon is weird when it isn’t exactly clear how u age.

In any case, Cuphead and Bendy decide to abandon their sides to create their own side (good omens style). Figuring how to stop the world from going to shit through their knowledge of both the calix amani and hell.

AND THAT IS JUST BACKGROUND INFO. I AM NOT MAKING A STORY IM JUST DRAWING BENDYSTRAW WITH THIS IN MIND AS THE WORLD THEY LIVE IN. I probably will not be drawing any of what i just described other than the bendystraw dynamic. The lore only exists as background for me to draw sillies. And sometimes I draw bendystraw as these young adults but not in an apocalypse anyways. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I legit have 4 years worth of sketchbooks on this au btw. So i might post old art or redraws bc I really like doodling them.

The childhood sketches of bendystraw I do would pretty much 90% of the time be apart of this au. And any doodles you find with Bendy having the slightly longer horns, spikes, and wings with a (slightly less buff than motm) cuphead would be apart of this time skip sequel part of the au.

Again this au is just a backdrop for my doodles. Im not making a comic or anything where this lore is actually important, it just gives some of u context if ur curious what’s going on in my sketches.
