I saw the Nintendo Switch and walked home from London Bridge (about 5 miles). After playing it, I'm surprised with how tiny the Switch is. It kinda felt flimsy to touch the buttons. The HD rubble is incredible! It really felt like I could feel the marbles in a box (in the marbles in the box game). I really feel like 1,2, Switch should come with the console coz NOBODY'S GOING TO BUY IT. "Hm, should I buy an open world fantasy adventure game for £50 or a series of mini games my nan would like for £50?" Really?! Using just the one controller really is too small and the buttons felt a bit small and all the same sadly. As for Zelda, we had ten minutes with it and nothing really happened to be honest. I enjoyed the first time I played it as I found an ice world and saw myself nearly die. Then ran into a gang of Boblins which I fought until my sword broke and then I ran away like a pussy. Then I found a house with a wood cutters axe. I smashed some pots and then my session ended and I wanted to play more. The second time, it was cut scenes, cut scenes and more cut scenes. Yawn. Arms looks polished but I wasn't impressed with it at all. I felt like nothing I did cooperated with what happened on the screen. It's just not for me. Mario Kart was Mario Kart. There were new characters but I played as Wario coz I'm Mike, hi, nice to meet you. It looks and plays exactly like the Wii U version. Overall, I have no urge to buy the Switch just yet. Maybe when they release the Pro version. But yeah, i loved the event and thank you so much to Sérgio for the invite!

When you’ve got the legs and you’ve got the dollar, why not combine the two? Here’s a piece I did for the supreme drag superstar A$hlee! The typography is something I put in separately as it was something I was most proud of. I used the typography used on a dollar bill and made it just a teeny, tiny bit more bent. There was going to be a simple strike through on the dollar sign, but A$hlee was known back in the day to go on about her amazing legs, so it seemed rather apt to put one her favourite features on there! A cardinal sin has also been committed. An artist has drawn a drag queen… WITHOUT THE LIPS! I love that A$hlee has a beard and wanted to give her an almost superhero look, like Diamond from Powers. I was in two minds about inking the outlines along with the shading (drag is all about blending dear), but A$hlee is pretty much covered in tattoos anyway, so getting rid of the ink outlines seemed wrong to me. With her unique and striking facial features, this was the first sketch I drew of her and I’m quite proud of the finished look of it. There were some colour variations made just to show that the logo has as much versatility as the drag artist, but she chose the main one with the logo. If you have any questions about the process of making this, just ask and if you want to see A$hlee LIVE, she’s at Camden every Friday at “Her Upstairs”
Arty stuff I’ve done that I’m kinda proud of.
Testing a new sketchbook that wasn’t very good haha;;;. I wish the paper was better on moleskine art-plus sketchbooks. there’s a weird wax on the edges….
PS. I used a toothbrush to flick on the white paint for the stars.
Tools: Windsor & Newton gouache, Talens Japan watercolour. i’m not gonna put the sketchbook cause i definitely do NOT recommend it lol.

Yasss stage photos! Look at my shoes, my sleeve cuff, that stupid sword that I gold-leafed! I’m in love with my Maedhros cosplay and I think it’s finally ~done~, for whatever given value of done I ever allow. My next longterm elf project is Elwë. He gets no embroidery because of his fabric textures but beading everywhere.
