Not technically the same as what this blog’s for, but I always hear the line in “Hand Me My Shovel” by Will Wood: “more where that came from around.” That I always hear as “more where that came from Von Raum.”

Not technically the same as what this blog’s for, but I always hear the line in “Hand Me My Shovel” by Will Wood: “more where that came from around.” That I always hear as “more where that came from Von Raum.”
This isn't so much a misheard lyric (as apparently the words I was mixing up are homophones, both pronounced /rəʊm/) as a misunderstanding, I guess?
I have only just realised it's "I took Doc Carmilla's hand and we went forth to roam" and not "I took Doc Carmilla's hand and we went forth to Rome".
There go all my visions of them walking hand in hand into the Colosseum :P
i heard “my laughter, my heart, the stars” instead of “mile after mile, from the stars”. the actual lyrics make more sense, but idk, i flip back and forth. sometimes i intentionally try to hear it wrong
Ooooooo yours are actually pretty neat though!!
i always misheard “exporting quicker tyranny” from Black Box as “exporting quick itinerary” like Odin isn’t a tyrant she just runs a shipping company
Odin Did Nothing Wrong
"for decades it had been old lady odin's passion project, her longsword legacy."
give odin a sword challenge. actually, wait, maybe that's not a great idea...
No you’re right. Give Odin a sword.
The maiden voyage of a train through the stars, vanished without a train
Yes, this is what I've always heard there. Logical, innit?
I always hear “In dishonor I am tied” as “In the summer, I am tied” in ties that bind which makes. Significantly less sense considering the city doesn’t have seasons
Close enough?
[image id: a comment from the-glorious-half-pints-twin that reads “I used to hear “in the center, I am tied””. end id]
I mean valid of you? I always heard “In the summer, I upped town” so I’m just impressed you got the second bit.
I always hear “In dishonor I am tied” as “In the summer, I am tied” in ties that bind which makes. Significantly less sense considering the city doesn’t have seasons

For some reason- this isn’t technically a mishearing but whenever skin and bone gets stuck in my head it just. Mixes with frosty the snowman? So I just get, “skin and bone, you alone don’t hate what you now see- with a cORNCOB PIPE AND A BUTTON NOSE”
The fact that the song is called Skin and Bone makes this significantly worse actually
I always heard "Oh, Peacemaker" as "Loki's fake out" and was confused about why they mentioned Loki in an album other than The Bifrost Incident
The worst thing about this is how well it works, now I can’t unhear it.
i always end up singing the "paupers" in favoured son as "fuckers" which is. a very different vibe but fun to do in the Heracles Voice
Oo that is fun
I only just found out that the lyric in one eyed jacks isn’t ‘and I’ve never felt much at home’
I mean...
(Real lyric: and I’ll never go marching home)
I always heard "we're not pure of heart but we're sure of aim" as "we're not pure of heart but we sure are vain"
saksjsjasjakaahajaamzhsjs
misheard lyric: Skin and bone You alone Don’t hate what you now see The starving fools Cry *sapphic* fools In the darkness we run free -Skin and Bone (homophobic version) from HNOC
😔
Here is a misheard lyric from Gunfight at the Dolorous Guard. Here's how I herd it for the longest time: I’m Guinevere, the fastest draw, My hand is fake, my word is law, And you should fear me.
She’s played by ‘I’m not a man/I don’t have hands’ Toy Soldier, so...
i’ve done it though I never knew, the dreams that aided me were true
-Ragnarok II: the calling
it’s not a funny mishearing, but in the once and future king, i always hear “he’ll write the end of history, as the final high noon rings,” when it’s actually “here at the end of history,” and both make me :(
That hits different
