Presenting the Grand Duchess Anastasia ! Her gown consists of a petticoat, a pink satin skirt, a golden satin overskirt with hand embroidered pearl purl gold work embellished with clear Swarovski crystals, opal and light pink rhinestones and is fully lined. Her bodice is made of the same fabrics, embroidered and embellished in the same way as the over skirt and lined with silk taffeta. The accessories (crown, necklace and bracelets) are all decorated with #swarovski crystals and there’s more than 400 Swarovski crystals on all of them. She also has her blue satin royal sash which also has a small ring decorated with more #swarovski crystals. #cinderella crinoline is finished!!! 😅 it took a couple of tests in materials and techniques but I am super happy with the result! My intention is make a miniature REPLICA of this dress. Starting with the foundation... Here’s some close ups from the bodice and a comparison with the real one. I’m super happy with the results, the embroidery of the floral design is bigger and obvious than the real, but I’m super happy with the results. The bodice is made of silk taffeta and lined with silk organza. It’s hand embroidered and has gold details and micro beads to simulate the beads on the real bodice. The little pouch is also hand embroidered in cotton fabric and has glass beads for the fringes. The Witch is back! 🧙‍♀️ Here are some photos of the latest #sarahsanderson doll commission! Her bodice is made of silk taffeta and silk organza and was hand embroidered, decorated with micro beads and 26 mini eyelets. Her skirt is a 4 layered skirt with opening on the sides at the front in various Poly chiffon colours and a loose woven material at the front custom dyed. Her pouch was hand embroidered too and decorated with tiny beads. My favourite part of this creation is Elsa’s cape. It’s a iridescent chiffon that was hand dyed and I used heat transfer vinyls to recreates the same design of the concept art. It also has around 800 rhinestones individually placed all over in 4 different colours. And here Elsa’s fifth spirit gown! This dress was hand dyed, and I carefully remove all visible seams which was one of the biggest challenges. She has more that 1500 rhinestones of 5 different shades individually placed all over her gown, cape and pants. 6 different types of heat transfer vinyls in different shapes and sizes individually placed too. This dress took many months of research in materials, patterns and assembly but I’m thrilled with the result! An important element in the story of Frozen 2 was Queen Iduna’s shawl. And this little surprise project was so awesome to make.
