A year ago, I was furiously (and miserably) con crunching on Alisa for Katsucon. ⬅️ SWIPE for WIP pictures! 150 logged hours went into this cosplay, including all her little details and things I had never worked with before - homemade silicone molds, LEDs, and resin casts. More @ilovegaam GAAMY photos! Photos by @markparianicosplay! Earlier today I was talking to Mark about being #bougieonabudget! My dress was a dress I thrifted for $5 at @hopescloset_thrift. It's taffeta and being a seamstress, I know it was worth a lot more just by the fabric quality. My purse was $15 on Amazon - I've gotten a lot of use out of it this year! The shoes were Payless clearance for $15 (I've had them for a while and wear them to work often!). My fur shawl I made myself by couponing $6 worth of faux fur from @joann_stores.
