Iāve been quiet lately - while Iām not comfortable sharing all the details on here, I can explain some of my inactivity and discuss my plans for the future of this blog.
CW: mentions of homelessness and family issues
Earlier this year, I helped my mom move to a different state and decided to stay with her while looking for a job. I had applied to a few already and there was one around my area that seemed promising/in my niche, and was interviewing for it by the time we moved into the house. Long story short, I waited for about a month before I was told I was hireable but got too nervous on my second round of interviews to be considered. It wrecked my self-confidence for a while and I had no luck getting a position at other places afterwards.
Two months ago, my mom told me I needed to get a job and move out already. I stepped up my search and investigated places to live, but it got to the point where sheād ask me multiple times a day about my progress and emphasized how much she wanted me out. Sheād get upset if she saw me do anything else.
Around the same time, I cut ties with someone I was close with for a long time because I felt our friendship became unhealthy, while also applying (and getting accepted!) to do a panel at a big convention. After this, everything began to snowball.
Long story short, I had a huge fight with my mom a couple days before (American) Thanksgiving, packed as much stuff into my car as I could, and left the next morning. I intended to go back and pick up the rest of my stuff, but car issues meant I couldnāt safely drive back until I had it looked at (thankfully nothing too expensive). Applied for an apartment, attended the convention and did my panel despite flip-flopping a lot on cancelling it (and it went well despite the setbacks).
I come back to stay with my mom for a night at a hotel in my home-state. Even when half-asleep at 3 am, she was asking me about my apartment and job search already. I stayed with another relative the day after and got a phone call from mom when she got back to her house. She basically said I couldnāt stay with her anymore until I got my own apartmentā¦ And no one else I knew had room for me at that time.
I basically became homeless from that single phone call.
Iām fortunate that my dad could back me up and pay for a hotel I could stay in, but I was utterly alone in all of this. My family wasnāt empathetic at all and they refused to listen to me - to understand the current state of the job market, the availability of jobs in my field, and that Iād like to get a job first before settling on an apartment. (Also the state they were trying to convince me to stay in is bigger/has more opportunities than my home-state, but itās also insanely competitive and I had no luck whatsoever despite doing some professional development in that time.)
There were a lot of weird glitches with the apartment I applied to as well, and the math I did meant it wouldnāt be sustainable for me even if I COULD find a job in my field. I cancelled my lease on it in the end.
Right now Iām staying with a friend through the holidays and trying to figure out my next step. Iām safe, I have a roof over my head and access to food. I have time and space to indulge in hobbies for a bit.
As for my plans for this blogā¦
The ex-friend I mentioned earlier is someone whoās fairly active on the Tumblr RPC and even with some of my mutuals on here. I donāt want to stir the pot and mention them by name because theyāre well-regarded, and just because my relationship with them wasnāt healthy doesnāt mean that label also applies to their other friendships.
That being said, Iām a little stuck on how I want to proceed with this blog because theyāve had a hand with the characterization of some of my muses. I donāt want to delete it or abandon it, but I feel compelled to reset/edit it or clean the slate in some way.
I was thinking about posting my MM/MMX art on here and blathering about my OCs more + the direction Iād like to take them in, which would be easier than RPing at this point. (There will still be RPing too, trust me, itās just kinda hard to focus on extensive RP threads with my current situation.) I might even talk about MM/MMX OCs I have that arenāt explicitly part of the roster on here already!
In any caseā¦ Iām sorry that this update is emotionally heavy. I hate making people worry. If you read all of that, youāre a real one and I appreciate your time + attention so much.
Blessings be upon you during this season, all I ask is that you cherish the people in your life who make space for you and your feelings - and please let them know how important they are to you. I know Iād probably be freezing my ass off sleeping in my car or spending my Christmas alone if it werenāt for the good people in mine.

I havenāt been super active on here lately - RP brain has sorta switched off/focusing on other things for the moment, BUT!! Iām in a bit of a doodling mood!

Theta - pansexual/omnisexual aromantic, polyamorous, + genderfluid! Heās not strictly attracted to any one gender (and tbh if they have a personality that he likes that can often be enough), however he doesnāt really understand or āclickā with romantic attraction. Itās not to say he wonāt try it out with someone though! Heāll try anything at least once. :3 He also loves experimenting with gender presentation!
Chi - biromantic gray-asexual! Chiās definitely into romance even if itās something he doesnāt experience very often. Heād be a very committed and doting partner no matter how the other identifies. Heās soft and loving at his core. While he identifies as male, heās also comfortable exploring gender and may even like to wear a dress or skirt on occasion.
Lazarus - biromantic bisexual! Laz isnāt one to get into relationships often and still has some things to learn about them, but if his chemistry is good with another person, heāll be devoted to them. Heās also willing to be more casual about it, but tries to make any potential partner feel heard and respected.
Serta - also biromantic bisexual! Loves being around his partner and cuddling up to them/physical gestures of affection. Also likes spending time with them and hearing about their day, even if it was mundane. Very chill and does well in either monogamous or polyamorous relationships. Tends to favor shorter partners.
Ferris - trans + asexual lesbian! Was inspired by her linemate Scylla to transition and ask their creator for a frame change and became much more confident. Not a repulsed ace by any means but is generally āmehā on sexual intimacy. Thinks girls and femme-presenting people are really cool. (Gets a little flustered thinking about holding hands, though.)
Scylla - biromantic bisexual/gray-asexual! Doesnāt really know who she likes yet or what she prefers in a partner, but sheās here for a good time anyway.
Styx - token straight guy, also asexual! Loves and supports his sister, just wants her to be happy. Awkward, but devoted and monogamous to whoever is accepting of him. Sexual intimacy flusters him and may make him uncomfortable, so he has to deeply trust someone to consider it.

The stately and sleek figure of NSR's CEO was half-turned away from the imposing stained-glass windows of her office to acknowledge the newcomer's presence. Her hands were folded neatly behind her back while magenta eyes coolly scanned her visitor. Turning to face them, she raised a brow.
"Did my secretary allow you inside? I don't have the time for much idle chatter, as I am to meet with my artists soon."
"... Unless you're here for the press to discuss the recent... Issues, plaguing Vinyl City's streets. Regarding the two rogue rock musicians who have taken it upon themselves to destroy NSR's reputation, I can assure you the situation is under control. My artists and I are investigating the matter further, though I doubt this 'Bunkbed Junction' can do much to disrupt the status quo."
Tatiana waved her hand in a slightly distracted and dismissive fashion. "In any case, we have to worry more about the satellite we just launched. If you want an official statement from me, please schedule an appointment. Good day."
Her firm goodbye summarized her feelings as an attempt to repress her irritation with the situation unfolding, though she always had a no-nonsense attitude and a rather short fuse. She turned back to gaze through the ornate windows, narrowing her eyes that swept over the landscape.
