Dance~Sing~Let’s have fun!
I had to practice with more styles and coloring because of my classes, this was really fun www
hacktivated:
2B’s eyes were gray just like his. He had been with her for a long time, but he only remembered seeing them clearly once before. That was hardly a pleasant memory though. As he still gripped part of the black cloth, his hand shook.
Oh, nines.
He let it flutter away from his fingers onto the ground. 9S stood mostly silent watching her move around him. There was not much he could do with one arm anyway. The only good part of his body was his brain so he tried to think the situation over.
It always ends like this.
He would forget and return to 2B’s side, after each subsequent death. Perhaps this was a reversal then. His punishment for ignorance. This time he got to witness a 2B who forgot him, and all they had been through while carrying the memories in his heart.
9S smiled. That was fine for him. Even if their bodies were broken, even if they forgot about each other, it was enough to simply be. To be with her.
“2B…”
9S said the name slowly.
“It’s a bit difficult to walk like this, can I lean on you then?”
Despite not knowing how it could affect his walking ability, the soldier chose to simply go along with the petition. It took none of her time to follow up instruction. Guessing the commander wouldn’t be too pleased they hadn’t checked and tended to his injuries. Thus, 2B moved closer wrapping his other arm around her shoulders, digits keeping a tight hold onto his sides for equilibrium sake.
❝
You sound like it is not just your arm what went missing.
❞
That said, the android began the walk back to the dorm area, not much was said on her part. After both doors opened for them to enter a turn of her head to look towards the companion.
❝
What is that needs to be done now? do I contact the commander? How is maintenance given, I’m usually never the one who’s gotta get it done, I’m always the one who gets blown in pieces.
❞

Just as 2B turned to him so innocently, 9S reached forward for her. Only with one hand, the other arm hung limp at his side, the metal which was meant to serve as the joint laying out exposed. is hand reached forward slowly, and he made no noise except for the sparking of his broken arm.
“No, you’re not listening 2B. YoRHa units are supposed to listen to their supports. I said really look at me.”
Just then, he trespassed a boundary he knew he was not supposed to, and slid a finger of his gloved hand underneath her blindfold. He pulled it up just a bit, as if he were testing the waters and waiting to see what she would do.
“Please, just for a moment. That’s all I need to keep living. Please look at me.”
It took her aback, the sudden touch of a glove slipping underneath the blindfold. It wasn’t a common procedure either. So why was the scanner acting like this? Had he perhaps been infected during his last mission? It was beyond her. The pull was strong enough to reveal both eyes, as the piece of fabric fell to the ground.
A blink and then two more followed up, before her the image of a rather broken android. It made no sense. Commandment would never send a broken YorHA unit into a mission, regardless how ‘safe’ this mission were to be.
❝
I suppose a repair is in order, you should’ve gotten that arm restored after getting back in the bunker.
❞
It was not the usual for their eyes to be bare, she didn’t like it much either. But now it was obvious this boy needed real assistance, one that she could not provide, as a fighting unit it was an impossible task. It didn’t pass long before 2B took a step forward and kneeled to pick up the piece of clothe. Carefully wrapping her eyes with it.
❝
We need to get your arm fixed, and I suppose--- a software check as well, you’ve been spewing far too many incoherence's.
❞
hacktivated:
“Amiss huh? Well, I missed earth so it could be that.”
All the attempts to dissuade him from showing emotion, seemed to only make him worse. Still, he tried to play it off with a casual joke. He was sure, 2B would play it off as she usually did. He would be fine as long as he could keep walking behind her in tempo. She stopped suddenly though, and 9S dragged his feet unaware of what to do.
He raised his one arm, and pulled up his blindfold. Just for a small peak. The source of the noise was 2B losing patience as usual and jamming the communications. He could say something, but that was not his priority at the moment. He was caught up in watching her.
“I’m sorry, I keep saying unnecessary things… 2B… Can you look at me? I know it might not sound like it, but it’s completely necessary. I need it.”
Although the request was unexpected it was enough to get the soldier to quit the slamming, only to stand still unsure of what he really meant or wanted.
❝
I am not glitching, this door is just stuck, there’s a need to hit it a couple of times before it cracks open.
❞
Assuming his reasoning was to check on her system that was, perhaps not entirely necessary. The units had just gotten their weekly check ups. If something was off with 2B it would have been solved by now. Still she complied, keeping her blindfold as she usually would, right into his direction blissfully unaware of what he could be thinking of.
❝
Now , what?
❞
hacktivated:
“I know, I know…”
9S tried to sound like he was complying with orders, but it came out like a dejected whine. Perhaps it was the nasaly nature of his voice. He should ask later if that was something that could be upgraded or changed. If there was a later. He turned his head away and reached up to touch his neck. He could feel flecks of metal underneath his artificial skin still being exposed.
“Sounds like a boring mission then-whoops. I just mean it’s standard for scanner models like me to go on those sorts of missions. I was hoping when I got partnered with a model like you, it meant I could see more.”
That was the typical thing he would have said in this situation. OH. She heard him. That was… new.
“I just said you looked pretty, ma’am. It’s probably better you didn’t hear me actually.”
Taking a step forward making her way through the hallways of the place, 2B kept her step without sparking much conversation, natural for the soldier to remain to herself even in deep questioning, no, specially then. It did not mean the other’s complaining had come off as unheard of.
❝
It is our mission after all. I have not been sent back to earth in some time, something must be amiss.
❞
When she did find this strange and unexpected, the last mission hadn’t gone as expected according to files. Even if her circuits felt like crusting away, the best choice was not push the commander. She always knew the right time after all. Though stopping dead in tracks, 2B turned to face the other android briefly, before slamming a button with force.
❝
Us YorHas have been designed to stick to our job, model 9S, there is no need for flattery or emotions.
❞
hacktivated:
“Didn’t you hear what I just-”
9S paused for a moment. He looked at his own body and then back to 2B. His visual feed did not match up with his memories at all? A glitch? Corrupted data? Either way, it looked like he was watching a dream in front of him.
Those days were like pure light.
No, it was not a dream. You could not actively participate in dreams. He took a hesitant step forward, looking down at his feet. Even with a blindfold on it was obvious he was avoiding eyecontact. Another step, he was so close. His hand reached out, but he stifled his own fingers at last moment.
“Ma’am!” His voice squeaked. “It’s no problem at all! I’m just happy to have someone on this mission with me, I usually work alone you know.”
His excitement was entirely uncalled for, it was rare for a YorHa unit to be so eager displaying so many emotions all at once. Quite a feely guy she must say. Still this had nothing to do with 2B for as long it didn’t intervene in his work or hers for the matter.
❝
Emotions such as excitement are unneeded for this mission.
❞
The change of scenery was much appreciated though. At least for once not having to look out on any attack. Giving maintenance in the bunker-- wasn’t entirely something she could get a hold of, soldier type androids weren’t known for their skill with crafts or software.
❝
We may not be to engage in combat but this mission is still pivotal. However we must look out for the benefit of mankind and androids.--Also didn’t I hear what exactly?
❞
“It’s good to see you again.”
9S did not consider the possibility even likely, no matter how much secretly he hoped for it. He supposed the easiest way to see 2B again though had simply been to kill himself, or rather to let himself side. The pain from the fight with A2 still echoed in his chest like a background melody.
For a long time after waking up in this… new body? Old one perhaps? He could feel one of his arms missing, and the blindfold he shed had returned to his face. Regardless, for a while after waking up he could say nothing at all, for he had thought a million things, all of them overwhelming and was unable to articulate any of them.
Seeing 2B again was the thing he had wanted most out of the world. Now though, 9S did not know if he deserved to want such a thing. You wanted me to live, but all I could do was destroy everything and then myself.
“2-b- or, should I say. Model 2, type E.”
Back in the bunker life had been rather calm, perhaps too calm for their liking, who’s this android to question their decision to keeping them at bay of battle. After all the many times they had engaged it was only expected for the androids to be deployed without avail, for machines still had a lot on them. Thoughtless machines.
❝
Scanner 9 Type S. I didn’t make you wait too much, right?
❞
He was expecting her? Only natural, commander had just delivered instruction for maintenance, still she didn’t quite thought he was fit for the job, but who was to tell scanners knew more than disarming machines.
How would you feel if twice a week you could wake up next to the person you love?
❝
Emotions are prohibited.
❞
Wake up next to the person SHE loves? Quite an impossible task to accomplish, Yorha units had no time to spare to drown into the depths of human feelings. Waking up next to 9S what a joke.

ACCESS_POINT - @flowers-for-2b & @modelo2b SUBJECT - YoRHa Type B No.2 MISSION_STATUS - COMPLETE
“ Is that you, 2b? ”
The Commander heard the clicking of heeled boots fast approaching, yet she didn’t even bother to turn and greet her most faithful subordinate. If there was one among the many YoRHa units that she took great pride in besides 9s, it would have to be 2b; a female android that had kept loyalties to her in trying times of the machine menace and…. other stresses. “ Your mission was a success, well done. Now that you’ve returned to the Bunker, I want routine maintenance performed on you before rest, I advise you take it to ensure mission efficiency. Once you’re cleared you may resume your data gathering on Earth–…. where is 9s? ” how strange that she’d not heard a pained sigh… was he off on his own?
A traveller the android was, ready to engage in combat at the mere mention by her superior. But the price to pay during or after each battle was rather high. Higher than she would like it to. However a YorHA unit had no right to question the reasons to fight, they needed to effectively provide assurance of mankind survival. Back in the bunker, the common silence surrounded her as only the sound of her heel clashed against the floor. Until finally being at the presence of the commander.
❝
Roger that. As for 9S he-- I couldn’t pick up a signal from his black box at the desert. Following orders I got back here without looking for him...
❞
She regrets having done that, no less.
Announcement: Electronic device known as ‘television’ used centuries ago as form of entertainment by mankind. Activity found on the other side of the screen. Proposal: Crossing the portal is adviced to provide intel to commandment.
❝
You don’t say.
❞
As exciting as the missions were. All sarcasm. They weren’t. 2B could not shake off the fact that she did not land in the place she was supposed to. Commandment did not commit mistakes, not even willingly. The lack of response from 6O served to further enhance the belief that she got herself in quite the trouble. But there really isn’t much to be done other than cross that line huh? Likewise, complying to the suggestion the android found herself in a rather dark place only a male (android?) standing looking at an unknown figure.
Announcement: Unknown life form sighted.
❝
What now?
❞
Proposal: Engage with life form to collect data for future encounters.
