Sulley was taking his mother out on the beach to relax herself,he then walks passed a rock as he saw Mike,he looked upset “Mike?..Whats wrong?”

The way he was handling this just annoyed Adley, he was angry at her? She hadn’t even wanted to date in the first place. He’d made the bet to make her kiss him. He’d kissed her after that. She had been the one to say let’s give it a shot… but she’d been blinded as he’d been the first guy to really pay attention to her enough to catch her interest. Curiousity as well. But getting angry at her now? No. She wasn’t going to deal with it. “Yeah, I tried, you know what? I did try too. I tried my hardest to let myself fall in love with you. Now, Get out.” She walked over to the door and opened it for him looking at him expectantly.

"Fine!" He said storming out the door.  He waited till he was around the corner to let tears roll down his face.  He didnt know what to do.  He felt sick.  His heart was racing.  He decided to go to the queit spot on the beach to let his tears out.  He didnt want to go back to his dorm and have sulley see him like this.

"So thats it, you dont want to be with me anymore." He was hurt.  "What have the last few months been for then huh, they meant nothing?!"

"Mike. Listen. I thought I could. I thought that… I could fall in love with you but I care about you… yes. Love? I don’t think I can. I could have just led you on, now if you’re going to start yelling at me you can just leave.” She said, crossing her arms over her chest, giving curt nod towards the door. Yelling was not how she expected this to go nor did she wish to hear it. She already felt horrible about it.

"Well thanks for trying." He said fed up "Sorry it didnt work.  Sorry you couldnt fall in love with me." He closed his eyes.  Anger was rushing through him.

"I’m not good with it either…" She let out a heavy sigh, she really didn’t know what to do. Well more she knew everything they could do, she didn’t know which path to take. Too many options. TOo much in her head… Adley just wanted to scream. She didn’t want to hurt Mike and she did care about him…. but love? Love was out of her reach as far as she was concerned. “I do like you, Mike…. but it’s not fair to you to be with me… I- I mean I don’t think… I don’t think I can love you. Or anyone. Not just you…”

"Leaving isn’t going to solve anything Mike." She sighed, a bit annoyed that he was just going to try to… walk away? When she was trying to talk to him, she didn’t even have to speak to him she could have just said goodbye. "I don’t know what to do but I know that just walking away will do absolutely no good."

"Okay" He sighed. He looked at her. "Then what, what should we do.  Im not good at this relationship stuff.  I dont know what Im doing.  And I really like you but if you dont like me back what are we doing"

"i can’t just pretend you didnt’ say it, Mike. You did say it… but it didn’t scare me off… I’m not afraid of it… I just… it’s not fair to you.” She muttered, her voice falling a few levels. “I don’t think I feel the same way…i don’t know if I ever could. and it’s not fair to you.”

"oh" Is all he could manage to say.  He didnt mean to say it, it just sort of slipped out.  He wasnt even sure if he beileved in love.  But hearing Adley say she might not love him back hurt him.  He thought back to his first crush, how she had hurt him and how he felt then was how he felt now, the way he never wanted to feel again.  "This was a bad idea, im gonna go"

"If you want to…" She sighed, she wasn’t sure she wanted to but she doubted that would change within a few days so might as well get it over with…

"Only sometimes." She muttered, not up to the usual taunting it just made her feel bad.

"Maybe I just work quicker than you." She managed a little laugh, trying to joke but it was obviously half hearted.

She nodded. “First week of school wasn’t too bad, right? I didn’t get too much homework…”

"I got alot aready." He shrugged. This was better than not talking at least"

"I’ve been… alright. I guess. Piper’s talking to me again…" Something positive. That was good. "How… about you, Mike?" She bit the inside of her lip and looked to him. This wasn’t suppose to be awkward, was it?

"Well thats good.  I've been okay, just been keeping to myself mostly, getting some work done, you know how it is"

"Thank you." She nodded with a bit of a smile, taking them she headed to the kitchen. She would find this easier if she understood… but her own feelings were foreign to her at the moment. This wasn’t a feeling she liked, nor something she felt like dealing with any longer. A silent determination settled on her to at least figure out something because of this. “Just going to put them in water…” She commented, putting them in a vase she set them on the counter top.

Walking back out she ran her hand through her hair. Eyes diverted to the floor the recently decided determination fading a bit as she looked at him.

He stood in the living room waiting for her as she put the flowers in water.  When she came back out they stood there in an awkward silence for a bit. Not knowing wha to say he just simply asked, "How have you been?"

Adley was pacing her room, why did she even let him come over? She wasn’t sure what she wanted and seeing him after everything certainly wasn’t going to help. Would it? Maybe it would. She sighed heavily and flopped on her bed waiting, staring at the ceiling. She didn’t do relationship things. Especially problems. There were too many options to deal with this. She’d seem them all and she couldn’t pick one. Or even two, she saw all the outcomes and hadn’t the slightest clue which one she preferred. She knew everything… Why did she feel so confused?

However she heard the knock and got up, heading down the stairs she opened the door. She gave a little half smile at the flowers. “Hey.”

He waited for her to answer the door.  His palms were sweaty heart racing.  Maybe he should run. Leave.  This was a bad idea coming here.  But maybe it could do some good right?

As she answered the door he looked up. "Hi" he said softly holding up the flowers. "These are for you." He said handing them to her and walking in.

Mike headed to Adleys\'s place.  He was nervous, scared even.  He hated the thought that maybe she was thinking about ending things.  He had felt awful since what he said a few nights ago.  He picked up some flowers on the way.  He thought maybe it was a good gesture.  He knocked on her door holding the flowers.

"That’s not what I-…" She froze realizing his words, Opened her mouth to talk again but stopped. 

She shook her head. The color fell from her face and she sighed. WHY RIGHT NOW. Would he say something. “I-… I have to go.” She didn’t hesitate before she turned and walked away.

Well. She certainly wasn’t angry anymore. Not for the previous reasons.

"Adley" He said softly as she walked away. His heart sank. His face was red.  He was hurting.  Why did he have to let that slip out.  But did she really just have to walk away.  That made him feel worse. IT made him feel terrible

"Oh so you’re going to hold that over my head now are you? Yea I started the book"

"I was asking about homework in general… but yes I am, because it was stupid. And a bit hypocritical, if I do say so myself, you flirt with anyone you please yet you blow up when one thing happens to be. And I slapped him for it.”

"Yea well I've never kissed anyone else, or been kissed for that matter.  Unless you count that time with Rowyn, or that time with Winnie. Anyway thats not the point.  I wasnt even mad at you, I was mad at him.  Sorry I did what any guy would do.  I just love you okay. " He froze realizing what he just said.
