This was brush and ink with a little bit of red watercolor. Usually I start the pencils on a separate, thinner paper, than trace it onto thicker paper to ink on. Skipped that step. Makes this more of a one-of-one, kind of a philosophical choice, like this was less practical and more meaningful, more of an expression. There is a fear of permanence when you’re inking over the only version of what you’ve drawn.

Let’s be real, we’ve all had a moment in life our emotions got to the best of us, and let words we never really meant slip out of our mouths.  While words are just words, you never reallyyy know how much it can affect someone on the receiving end. I’ve said a lot of dumb shit during my teenage years (and still sometimes do to this day!), but have learned to give myself the space I need to talk things out in my head first before taking it out on someone else. I’ve also learned that if you truly want someone to listen to you, there are other ways of establishing respect and communicating clearly, rather than showing a negative side of ourselves, that doesn’t truly represent who we are. Like I said… I may be a bitch…but I ain’t a grinch xD.
