20 days of shadow work prompts:
(for this with trauma related disorders)
(keeping in mind that a shadow isn't necessarily good or bad) personify your Shadow. What form does it take? is it humanoid ?what would its voice sound like ?what is the color of its hair ?its skin? draw out.
Ask your Shadow about your trauma (or if you experience many different traumatic things then ask it about one thing in particular)
What are some of your coping mechanisms ?why do they comfort you? explore if they're directly related to your trauma .
What is something that you hate about your body? explore if it's related to your trauma or the world around you and why you hate it .
Personify your mental illnesses because sometimes they're easier to deal with when you see them as a separate entity
Write a letter to the person who abused you about what they did about how it made you feel and how it affects you now, let it all out
Write a letter to your Shadow about your shared experiences of you and it and reflect on what you write
Draw not what you look like on the outside but how you look on the inside
Why do you look the way that you do in the previous days drawing prompt ?
What are your triggers and why? what events happen to make you triggered by these things ?
What part are yourself scares you? explore in word form .
Draw how you wish you can look like
Why did you look the way that you did in the previous days drawing prompt?
What is something that fills you with dread and why? Explore it through word.
Do you think that you aren't worthy of something ?what is it and why do you think that ?how could you become worthy of it what are the steps to do so ?
What disgusts you about yourself and why do you think that?
What is something that is missing from your life? what are the steps to achieve that goal ?
Write a letter from your Shadow to yourself .what does it say?
Write a letter from present you to yourself at your lowest point in life explore how you feel and what advice you can give to yourself.
Research the different types of emotions right out how to identify and recognize them .
