In this project, we had to do two collages. One is hybrid that is a mixture of handmade works and digital works and one digital only. We had to have some hierarchy, it had to be appealing to the eye and other elements.This project was fun and I enjoyed working on them

In this project we had to create a book with different techniques. We used the lithography machine and other methods.

In this project class, we created a pictogram using Adobe Illustrator. We had to choose an object that we use everyday or carry it with us everyday. I chose the prayer beads because I always carry it in my bag.

We were assigned to design a chair according to our position we were like to sit in. We had to take a 10 or more pictures for 24 hours for all seat positions. I have combined two positions in one chair. One is that I love hugging a pillow while reclining and two I like having my hand under my head as a support to my head. The head piece/pillow can be moved in two directions. I actually enjoyed working on this project that I also decided to build my exterior I wish this chair was in. I used transparent as for letting the sun come in but not a lot. Its a “Serenity Chair”

This was our first Surface project. We were asked to design a set of pins with a particular theme. This was my first time to use illustrator and I’ve learned a lot when I used it. My theme was about mood swings and that some people go from 1 to 100 so fast. I chose this because I personally go through that a lot.

This was our first project in Time Studio. We learned how to use Adobe Premiere and developed our skills through this project. In this project, we had to tell a story through pictures and this was one sensitive story that I went through.

Doing Easy is basically about something that you are used to do everyday or every now or then. Something that is easy for you. I have chosen to do my doing easy about ‘writing my diary’ because that is something is enjoy doing and I don’t find any difficulty in it.

In this project we were introduced to animation. We worked with making a video with emojis to tell a story or an event. I did not have any intention or purpose whilst doing this video but all I can say about this project that I have learnt how to work with premiere and how to deal with moving the still pictures and make them seem moving like real life.

In our second semester, we were asked to construct and design a wooden sculpture that is a movement in our “Doing Easy” project in Time Studio. We chose our part that we wanted to construct the movement on and designed it. My movement was ‘Flipping a Page’. This was my most favorite project in Space Studio because I got to design my own sculpture and felt so happy and proud when it did work out and that is why I would want to join Interior Design because I love the work where I would design and construct something.

M O B I L E  S C U L P T U R E ( F I N A L )

We started the semester with designing a well-balanced mobile sculpture either with wires or fish string. I chose a disney theme to do this project. It was one of my favorite sculptures and I enjoyed cutting out the shapes perfectly. I learned a lot while I was doing it.

S O L I D  A N D  S E C T I O N S  C A S T I N G S  ( F I N A L )

This was the second space project. We had to do a sculpture out of plaster and have negative space, positive space and recessed space. I honestly don’t think that this project was one of my successful one or even the one I enjoyed the most because I did not have an idea of what I should do. However, I met the requirements, and I think if I had more time I could’ve came up with a good solid idea.

This was the individual part of the project. In this particular project, we had to have 2 or more rubbings and start rendering parts and fading out parts or rip the paper. In my project, I chose to make some of my arabic words be shown as 3D. Overall, I enjoyed this part of the project.

In this project we were asked to make a collage that has hierarchy, colour, visual harmony, composition and others such as negative and positive space. I have achieved in having  all these principles. I personally enjoyed this project because it made me a pro in using Illustrator and Photoshop.

The second project was “animated figure”, we had to draw ourselves in 3 different sets and each set has 12 lateral drawings and 12 frontal drawings. In each set we had to draw them in different techniques and medium. This was my final chosen set.

During the first semester, our first drawing small project was “Blind Contour”. We had to draw 50 layers of ourselves without looking and without removing the pencil from the paper. We drew on both sides of the paper to make an illusion. We had the second major project which was the continuous tone. In this project our professor took a picture of us, which then we had to draw taking care of the lighting, shadows and highlight.
