The Angel of Death Haserot PAINTING
The Haserot statue, located in Lake View Cemetery in Ohio, stands out for the contrast between its calm appearance and its striking presence. It depicts a seated angel with open wings and a fixed gaze, like a guardian.
I’m painting this figure on black paper because I like the idea of bringing light to the surface out of darkness. The black background enhances each white brushstroke, as if the image were emerging from somewhere deep or ancient.
I chose this statue because it carries something that inspires me: strength without violence, victory without arrogance. An angel that doesn’t need to take flight to show its power.
Painting made with acrylic paint on black paper.
“Entwined"
This artwork was supposed to be posted on February 14, but I needed more time to work on the anatomy, so I’m sharing it now.
"The Widow’s Guilt"
She betrayed him. She poisoned him. Now his spirit won’t let her forget.
"You Are Improving" Progress is mandatory. The audience is watching.
