As we begin moving our things to our new home tomorrow, I attempted to set an appointment with our satellite provider to have service moved. A polite girl answered first and inquired about my call. Next thing I know, I’m speaking to a man of foreign descent and speaks in broken english and way too fast! He gets new address, comploments me several times on my loyality to his company. All info is finally gathered, appointment time set, then I am informed that there will be a $100 moving fee! I am stunned and don’t know what to say, then hear, “Do you agree with the fee?” What!??? Of course I DON’T AGREE with this fee! A loyal customer for over 2 years and you want to stick me with the crazy fee! Well, instead of thinking that, I blurted it out and told the guy that he was nuts if he expected me to pay! I even mentioned cancelling service and returning to (I cannot believe I would even consider this!) COMCAST! Within a 1 minute time frame, after spitting out those words laced with vinegar, he politely waived my $100 fee! Umm, did management give you a 60 second approval or are you trying to scam me?? Well, I will be watching credit card statements more closely now! Ridiculous, that they want a fee just to move an already serviced customer…and just a few blocks away! I’m sure they will find some way to make me pay…increasing the cost of my satellite package or some crazy, unheard of tax…who knows?!! I just know one thing…I HATE MOVING!!
