ERIK, DONâT: A Summary
get to know me meme: [3/10] movies memoirs of a geisha - âShe paints her face to hide her face. Her eyes are deep water. It is not for Geisha to want. It is not for Geisha to feel. Geisha is an artist of the floating world. She dances, she sings. She entertains you, whatever you want. The rest is shadows, the rest is secret. â

The beauty of âThe Hunger Gamesâ and also âGame of Thrones,â in fairness, both projects have really complex, three-dimensional, contradictory, strong women⊠The writing of female characters is extraordinary and equal to the men.
Itâs been a pleasure. Donât spoil it.

Sorry, but Nicki and Taylor were both wrong.
Yes, black women donât get enough credit, but BeyoncĂ© was nominated for having a video w a similar message.
Yes, racism is alive and portrayed in the music industry every day, but you canât argue racism when 4/5 of the videos nominated had black artists on them.
Yes, you can be mad at the people who donât nominate your video, but donât throw obvious shade at the other artists.
Yes, you can defend yourself, but donât insert yourself into something that you donât fully understand.
Yes, itâs ok to try to fix a situation, but itâs not ok ignore someoneâs legitimate concerns and invite them onstage during your win.
Bottom line: Nicki is mad because her video didnât get nominated despite breaking the vevo record. Taylor is mad because Nicki subtweeted her* and she thinks that Nicki is being unfair. Both made mistakes. Donât support Nicki 100% or Taylor 100%.
*nicki did subtweet Taylor. Sorry, but Taylor was the ONLY white female to be nominated for voty. The only person whose video could have âcelebrated women with very slim bodiesâ. Even if Nicki was talking in the general sense, the tweet still threw shade at white female artists and devalued their accomplishments by implying that they got them because they are white and skinny.
