Amelia stood there looking over at the guy for a moment, her anger was rising hearing his words, none of that gave him a good reason or made her feel any better by his decisions her had made for them, they could have still been together if he hadn’t reacted the way because he was scared. “No it wasn’t, if you missed me, then you should have come down and I know you could have. Just because things weren’t working out doesn’t mean you end things and not by text anyway.” She stated putting a hand through her hair in infuriation before looking over at him shaking her head ignoring his statement, “Yes I was but then I gave it all up and ended up back her.” She stated and sighed, “Great, Breadstix at 7.” 

Skylar was standing there looking at her for a moment, it was either nerves getting the worse of him or guilt, but he knew how badly he had messed up with her and he couldn’t be more sorry then he already was. He sighed, “Yes I could have and I didn’t. I am sorry okay it was wrong of me to do so, but I was jealous okay, Patrick was your ex and I just got it into my head he did this for your to get you back and that you basically were giving him a reason to get you back. I am an idiot.” He sighed for a moment and ran a hand through his scruffy hair and looked at her, “Well I am sorry to hear that.” He nodded, “Breadstix at 7 sounds good.”

Amelia stood there her heart was pounding, the fact that he came to Lima for her made her happy but she couldn’t just accept him back like that because she was hurt and she was sick of being hurt. “Skylar, why didn’t you think before doing it? We could still be together right now? Was it hard for you to see me following my dreams and making something of myself before you? It’s not up to you og how I prefer to explore this life, I would have loved to explore it with you, I don’t need someone to decide what would be better for me, I can do that for myself. Yes I was dedicating it to you Skylar you and Finn. Skylar, these things don’t work like that, I can’t just take you back.” She sighed looking down, “Take me to dinner tonight before I go out with Rachel and the group to celebrate.”

Skylar was standing there, standing there opposite the girl he loved and wanted to win back but knew it was going to take time and he didn’t know how to do it, he had never had to try and win someone back before. He sighed, “Because it seemed like the easier choice at the time Amelia, I was scared and lonely and missed you and realised things weren’t working at the time. Yes i regret it and I know we could have been still together. You know i was supportive of your dreams i never wanted you to give up on it, I wanted you to work hard for them and didn’t want to get in the way of it.” He sighed looking down especially after hearing the words she just said and looked down, “You were dedicating your album to me?” He sighed looking over at her for a moment, “Well I can take you to dinner Amelia, if that’s what you want.”

Amelia turned around for a moment, in the hallways where she had many breakups heart aches and arguments but also make ups, friendships and fun but i didn’t feel like that right now. t was like her heat was being crushed all over again and did she really want that, was it something she could deal with right now.  Hearing his words a tear fell down her face and she sighed looking over at him, “You were an asshole doing that, I left New York to follow a dream I have had since being in this High School  but quit it because I didn’t see the need to continue. The album was going to be dedicated to you Skylar, the songs were a story of how i realized you were the person I imagined the rest of my life with, how I thought you were actually a decent guy who would support my dream and deal with long distance for six months. If you loved me more then anyone you have ever loved, then you would have stuck through the long distance, so can I really believe that? I don’t know if I want to go through that pain all over again Skylar.”

Skylar had not felt as bad as he did in that moment over anything before and he knew how much trust was an issue with Amelia, through everything she had been through before him, he knew she trusted him and he ruined that. He nodded shaking his head, “I know you did and I was an asshole, I made the wrong decision and wrong call of judgement. I thought you would prefer it if you had the opportunity to explore this life whilst single. Wait you were actually dedicating your album too? Amelia... I do and I should have supported you instead of breaking up with you. I was wrong I was one hundred percent wrong about this and I want you back, I need you back. I love you.” He stated, “I know, I am sorry I will never hurt you again Amelia, I promise.”

Amelia really didn’t know what to do now that Skylar was here, she wanted to go home, she wanted to run away because he broke her heart and she had just spent the last few months trying to mend her broken heart over him and get on with her life and now him being in Lima, it threw her and she had no clue what to do, it wasn’t like she could pretend to be dating  someone to make her jealous. She stood there and looked at him and she shock he head, “No, you can’t You let me go, via text might I add, but might I also add I know i hurt you in the past but I proved to you that I wanted you and you just let me go and then tell me you can’t handle this. I have had enough of dick heads in my life, I don’t know if I can believe you’re not a dickhead.”

Skylar stood there, was he doing the right thing, coming to a town he hardly knew to try and win a girl back, yes he loved her but he also knew he had hurt her, maybe he should let her move on and find someone else who wouldn’t hurt her the way he did. He heard her words and everything she said was right and yes she had hurt him once, but she was right, she proved to him that it was him she wanted. “Amelia, I know, I  kn ow I hurt you, I hurt you badly and I wish  I had’t. Breaking u with you over text was wrong, especially when you could have fulfilled your dream and I was being a dick not supporting you through it. Bu lease let me prove to you that I was wrong and I love you more then I have loved anyone in my life.”

Amelia was finally settling into her new life back home, she knew it was going to be tough and she was determined to make it back to New York at some point but she was trying to give herself sometime to move on and get on with her life. She was sure that she had made the right decision to leave the record label but it wasn’t for the right reasons, she left on a broken heart and now she needed to get her life back together. 

She was walking down the hall of the high school with Kurt and Blaine and as she did that, she saw Skylar standing there and she took a step back for a moment. She looked at him before walking over to him, “What are you doing here Skylar?”

Skylar knew this was going to be tough, he knew she would be struggling and he didn’t want to ruin her process in trying to sort things out but he also needed to fight for her, he needed her back, she was the love of his life. He knew that and he was a fool to think otherwise. So what did he do, he knew he had to make sure that he tried to get her back no matter how hard it was going t be.

As he stood in her school, he started to wonder what she was doing there but he needed to convince her that he made a mistake breaking up with her. So he stood there and as she saw him, and he stood there and knew she was going to be heard. “I’m here to get you Amelia.”

Skylar realized he had fucked up, he knew he had fucked up with Amelia, after so long trying to fight that fact that she hurt him several times and he was still in love with her, to then finally be together and true to each other, he breaks up with her, he knew he screwed it all up. He wanted to fix it so after texting Kurt to find out where she was, he made it his mission to go to Lima to try and win her back. He knew she was going to be pissed and he was prepared for that.

As he made it to Lima, he dropped his bags off in a hotel before making his way to the school Amelia was helping run Glee Club. He sighed, realizing it was late but he knew she was there so he waited in the corridors hoping she would soon walk out and see him.
