I want Ed to cheer me up on a bad day, to pin his knees on either side of my hips and hold me down until i laugh at his stupid jokes because he’s not leaving here until I do. I want him to give up his cell phone for a day and spend it in the moment. I want him to be hilarious in public, yelling at me for trying to hold his hand because he thinks its funny. I want him to take me seriously when i’m upset, to let me sit in a room and cry out of frustration because he knows that there are some things that aren’t able to be fixed with a conversation. I want him to sit at the table to eat dinner with me, and let me ramble on about fights with my family without trying to fix it. I just want him to think about me, when he makes decisions or celebrates victories, whether big or small. I want to be on his mind, and in his heart.
