Remus x Mary (outlandish i know)
Pre-wolfstar, but after the break-up they were still extremely close friends. Then on halloween of 1981 Mary is the one who breaks the news to remus. They both confide in each other for days, not knowing what else to do. They have both lost their closest friends. But over this they re-connect even closer and fall in love again. However, mary feels incredibly guilty because Remus still partly loves Sirius (how could he not? He’d loved that man longer than he’d loved mary) so mary isolates herself. Remus tries his hardest to get her back until one day he shows up at her door and she doesn’t recognise him, nor any photos of Lily, Marlene, James, Peter or Sirius. She doesn’t recognise any of the memories they shared from Hogwarts. That’s when Remus knew he had lost both loves of his life in the space of six months.
