wandering through the opera district of paris trying to find a hip place to eat. walked passed a few places that looked like french diners until i discovered a tiny alley with lots of restaurants.
many looked sufficient but none felt exactly right - on the surface, the crowd appeared touristy or just as if they were eating to eat
at the end of the alley, i heard an authentic buzz where i stumbled on coinstot vino.
the crowd was young and sexy but with out pretention.
the staff was attentive, snarky yet warm to the solo american girl.
the food (terrine of foie grois, hangar steak with potatoes and veggies and chocolate mousse) was organic and delicious..
the wine was italian and perfectly paired by thomas.- the delightfully sarcastic waiter
i wish so much they had a little sister here in nyc.
