hello! i love your art :3 you are a big inspiration for my art and i truly look up to you as an artist! i have a few questions if you don’t mind me asking? your anatomy is flawless in my opinion, it’s beautiful. anatomy appears as if it comes natural to you. i really want to understand how you do it? i look at what you create, examples being feet and hands but how do you understand that they move like that? how do you exactly know how to shape them? i know its a stupid question but i’m curious :3 (the second and third image)
another thing! about the first image! how do you draw people cluttered together so strategically? it’s so atmospheric and creates a sort of intimacy. where do you start? i’ve struggled with this for as long as i could remember and whenever i’d try, the poses would usually look very stagnant and one-dimensional as if you can only see from a single perspective while you have plenty!
the way you draw poses looks carefully articulated but natural at the same time. they’re flowy, diverse, and never lack originality (the fourth image).
i know that you’ve probably gotten these questions millions of times but i really want to have the opportunity to learn like you! if you can give a visual guide or a simple explanation on how to do it then that would be great! thank you so much for hearing me out! i hope to hear back from you :)
Thanks for all suport and love u.u its really surreal to inspire someone ;w; and please, tehre is no stupid questions qhen they come from a genuine place.
About anatomy, I dont draw acurate anatomy, what I actually do is the illusion of it. You see, when we work with humans/bodys that dosent acctualy look like humans/bodys we need to find the harmony with style, gesture, proportion and anatomy. My body drawings are always improving with that direction in mind and little by little I learn to break anatomy to be more appealing with my style. In fact I belive I have a good balance with gesture and stiff anatomy that helps this perception of good anatomy - like I dont overexagerate, but I'm still doing 'anatomy mistakes'. Its really important to understand that anatomy is a fundamental mean to be twisted, its important to learn and dont limit yourself with it. And while studying you find how flexible and streching the body can be.
Now, hands is a specific thing to me. I just love my hands, I found it cute and really like to look at it kkkkk, its one of my favorite things about my appearance and I belive because of this I just have a affinity drawing hands. But feet... Its really hard and I use a lot of references, I always new it can be really flexible because of my sport story with ballet, but also because of the disney Tarzan's movie (this man have crazy strengh on his toes kkkk) and for last a lot of hentai mangas drawing feet, its just chefs kiss the contortion and motion - I can see how its given special attention and I envy the flow, so I try to apply it
Drawing people together is really hard, I dont think I do it that well kkkkk, but what I do to get better is: I noticed how my characters touched each other so little, I wanted to change that and little by little I'm with that in mind all the time, to make sure they are touching. I still think its too flat, but I'm getting better. I use a lot of reference but sometimes I also need to do extra steps with 3d shapes to have a better idea of how it work. And my new point of attention is learn/remeber that its ok to overlap to make it more touchy - like the first drawing with the three femboys, Adonis arm is almost all cover by Narcisus and even if you dont notice the arm, it still work to the felling of contact, protection of the overall drawing.
Some poses I do are from 'imagination' as the reference is a mix of a lot I have seem somewhere, but I still use a lot of reference and I think its always good to change a little the pose, sometimes I add a element and that change how high a leg go, other times I shift the angle, and most os the time I draw the pose 'reverse', like, fliped. Or I just do the same pose and apply my 'anatomy'/gesture changes, and that already make the pose different.
Like right now I'm drawing based on a John Duncan drawing, just 'coping' the pose with little changes:
The arms a little more open, exagerating the shoulders the inclination, the chest more on front view, because of the body I want to do is more curvy and muscular there are more 'meat' on the butt kkkkk and the feeling of singing and stuffing the chest is still there, the touch of the ribbon is really hard to convey with only lines but I tried kkkk you go with your flow, that is what makes it flow I guess.
I got some questions about my process, how I draw and paint... I dont mind sharing it, but sometimes its not that big on my mind. Like, I have a lot of thoughs about anatomy, but hair is instinctively to me, so its really difficult to share it in a way to teach others.
